    BOYS Orlando Sentinel Super 6

4th Boys Orlando Sentinel Super 6

    1. Lake Mary (8-1) topped Winter Springs and Lyman
    2. Orangewood (9-2) beat Trinity Prep and Dr. Phillips
    3. Lake Howell (8-0-1) win over New Smryna
    4. Timber Creek (8-0-2) bested Boone and Trinity Prep
    5. Spruce Creek (7-1) shut out Deland and Deltona
    6. Ocoee (7-0-2) beat Edgewater and Bishop Moore

    7. Olympia (5-1-3), 8. Bishop Moore (8-2-1), 9. Winter Park (6-2-2), 10. Dr. Phillips (5-2), 11. Mount Dora (3-1-2), 12. Trinity Prep (5-3-1)

I've included records and notes as listed in the Sentinel. Still seems to be a relatively accurate list, certainly when compared to the first two. Haven't seen or heard much about Mt. Dora...anyone have any reports?

    5th Orlando Sentinel Super 6

    1. Lake Mary (10-1) topped Oviedo and Seminole
    2. Orangewood (11-2) Alan Gendeau set Central Florida career scoring mark with 5 goals against Orlando Lutheran, also beat Seminole 6-0
    3. Lake Howell (10-0-1) dropped 10 on Daytona Beach Mainland
    4. Timber Creek (11-0-2) plays Olympia tomorrow
    5. Spruce Creek (8-1-1) shutout Deltona this week
    6. Ocoee (9-0-3) Patrick Moore has 7 goals in last 3 games

    Best of the Rest
    7. Olympia (7-1-3), 8. Winter Park (9-2-3), 9. Bishop Moore (10-2-2), 10. Pine Ridge (7-2), 11. Dr. Phillips (7-4), 12. Seminole (9-6-1)

A pretty solid list overall, I'd say. Perhaps Trinity Prep and Seminole could swap at 12. Haven't seen Pine Ridge, but they did hand Spruce Creek their 1 loss.

All classes are represented, except for 3A with TP off this list. Hopefully Central Florida will have a bunch of schools making deep runs into the playoffs again this year!

actually, Flagler Palm Coast has handed Spruce Creek 2 losses now, and Pine Ridge handed them a 1-0 loss early this week

Creek has 3 losses now, which I'm sure will be reflected on the next poll

I've missed the last 1 or 2 Super 6's, but here's the latest from today's paper:

        1. Lake Howell (16-0-1) *lost yesterday to Lake Mary 3-0
        2. Orangewood (15-2) beat Winter Park and Olympia
        3. Ocoee (14-0-4) won Hickory Point tournament
        4. Winter Park (12-3-3) lost to Orangewood, tied Seminole
        5. Timber Creek (16-2-3) most wins in school history
        6. Bishop Moore (14-4-1) tied Boone

        Best of the rest:
        7. Olympia (8-2-5), 8. Spruce Creek (12-4-1), 9. Lake Mary (12-6), 10. Gateway (11-4-2), 11. South Lake (8-2-2), 12. Masters Academy (12-6)

        Thoughts, comments, questions??

Sentinel Super 6 (BOYS) from 1.17.08

          1. Timber Creek (18-2-3) 3 straight shut-outs
          2. Winter Park (13-3-4) recently beat Lake Mary and Dr. Phillips
          3. Lake Mary (14-6) beat Lake Howell and Orangewood
          4. Bishop Moore (14-4-4)
          5. Orangewood (17-3) beat Winter Park and Episcopal
          6. Lake Howell (17-1-2) lost to Lake Brantley

          Best of the Rest:
          7. Olympia (10-2-5), 8. Ocoee (16-1-3), 9. Spruce Creek (13-4-2), 10. Pine Ridge (11-2-1), 11. Gateway (11-4-2), 12. Dr. Phillips (9-5-4)

Top 6 is ok, but I don't think it's on target. Here's how I see the Top 6:

          1. Timber Creek - very good offensively
          2. Lake Mary - when they're on can beat anyone
          3. Orangewood - only 1 central fl. loss, to Lake Mary 3-2
          4. Winter Park - good as usual
          5. Lake Howell - lost to Lake Brantley yesterday
          6. Ocoee - good results all season.

Bishop Moore is probably 10 or 11, as they don't have a single quality win all season. That being said, they could still go deep in their 4A region.

          Thoughts, comments??

I agree with the comment concerning Bishop Moore, but I don't think Orangewood should be ahead of Lake Howell. The 3 best teams are Winter Park, Lake Mary and Lake Howell in any order.
