Go to the Could This Ever Happen? thread and read from the beginning. It's on Page 3 of the index now. You'll have to figure out if its true or not but the post above is interesting.

but is was ugly.... MI spanked Nease 95% of the game... MI had full control of the game... and Nease knew it.... Nease played ugly and were lucky the ref's let the play's go on.... regardless of terrible officiating, Nease was unable to make a play that MI did not recover, mostly thru the defense... and Zech, the goalie was right on... for every shot.
Regardless, Nease was unable to get past the mid field most of the game.
The passing game that MI played was beautiful... and it worked!!
Nease lost as many seniors last year as MI did..... the game should have been and even-steven....I suppose MI may be more prepared??
Who know's??
MI could have won a state championship last year. They didn't, and there is no one else to blame for it. Maybe MI will win a state championship this year. But -- it's their responsibility. W-L records don't win it. National rankings don't count. Nobody hands it to you. You have to go win it on the field.
So to sum up. We have one posting where the famous hypothetical is linked to Nease. We have another saying that the coach rips them when they play dirty as a way to excuse the fact that they play dirty.
So are we to conclude that the players don't listen to the coach and the parents like coverups? It's all just too confusing.
Let's just let everyone think whatever they want.
I do wonder though. If that hypothetical is true, what is the first image that goes through the players and parents minds when they see their little championship rings? I bet for a lot of them, it's not soccer. If its true, of course.[/quote:3d1xsu64]
I don't know about them, but it sounds like it is the first thing that comes to your mind. You are weird.
Keep the discussion to soccer.[/quote:3d1xsu64]
Then a few of us mothers and fathers are weird too. We all know what happened and it is hard to forget. Our son saw the pictures that were sent around and so our son doesn't even care about his ring because he knows those boys should have been kicked off the team for what they did and so there would never have been a championship without them. It is disgusting what happened and it is disgusting what our inside group of parents, coach and AD didn't do about it. I felt awful for the MI team when I watched them Friday night because they should have been the champions and they had it stolen from them because of the selfish acts of immoral adults. At least they can have the satifisfaction of demolishing us this year.
We should all pray for forgiveness.[/quote:3d1xsu64]
Granted, you are weird. The debate would be whether you are (in your words) an immoral coward and an accomplice, or whether you are simply an imposter. I'm guessing imposter.

The traction-less hoax continues to unwind.
Wait a minute.....I wasn't born yesterday. Why would the following hypothetical just appear AND my son was shown a photograph and told stories by players on the team that match up almost exactly with the hypothetical?
Let's just let the readers decide where the traction lies.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All this tea party stuff got me thinking. And I’m glad the moderators pulled the more graphic content and accusational hints from other threads. What’s done is done. It’s more important to move forward and learn from things.
In business school we used to do case studies a lot. Some were based on past cases and others were based on hypothetical situations. So, I got to thinking about a worst case hypothetical and I wonder how people today think it should be handled or if it could even happen in America today.
It is totally hypothetical and frustrating on purpose. Think about it before you respond.
WHAT IF…… A new coach comes to a fairly affluent high school with a talented roster. Like most affluent situations, a core group of soccer parents are obsessed with seeing their children playing under the lights and then going on to college. So, of course, a good number of parents are sucking up to the coach from day one and the coach is enjoying his new status as kingmaker. The season starts well and the team is undefeated going into the big holiday season tournament.
Most of the parents are thrilled. Even the JV parents are sucking up to the varsity coach in the hope their darling will play in such a glorious environment. They apparently do not notice that hardly anybody comes to the games except the parents of those kids involved. To all the parents, their children have arrived – big time Charlie's under the bright lights and bathing in fame. They all can’t wait to see their children’s name in the local newspaper (effective circulation 5,000) and glad hand each other at parties.
At the tournament, the coach makes the mistake of putting a freshman in a motel room with two seniors – one is considered by the coach as the best player on the team and indispensable. The freshman is not considered good enough by any of the players but his father made a big donation to the team fund and he made the team and even gets some quality playing time.
And then it turns ugly. One of the nights at the motel, the seniors decide to haze the freshman after curfew. They beat him up pretty good and force him to perform several very intimate acts (you get the idea) and record these on their cell phone cameras and send them to a good number of players on the team who then send them to other students in the school.
After the boy escapes the room, he goes to the coach’s room but finds nobody there. It seems that the coach has let his new situation go to his head and has decided to leave the team hotel and have a few drinks. When he returns, he finds the boy sitting outside his room visibly shaken. He knows he’s been caught out. He then finds out that his best player has done something outrageous while he was gone.
Fast forward to the start of the next season. The coach is preparing to defend the state championship his team went on to win last year. They even were able to win the game that the “best playerâ€￾ and the other senior had to sit out for half a game as punishment for “hazingâ€￾ the freshman. The other players responded to the coach’s warning and deleted most of the pictures from their cell phones but a few might still be floating around. Most of the parents know all about the incident, sleep well at night, go to Church on Sundays, and are sucking up to the coach now more than ever. A lot of them even sent their children to the overnight soccer camp he coaches at.
Sadly, the boy is still being totally ridiculed around school and, inexplicably, the father is leading the big fundraiser. Only two parents confronted anyone about the incident. One, went to the AD and principal and got nowhere. His boys will never play for the school again until the coach and AD are removed. The other parent confronts the coach and well…you can figure out how that got resolved. The boy is still with the team and very excited for the upcoming season. The team is expected to do well again and has an outside shot at another championship.
There are only a couple of parents who are thinking about taking the cell phones they confiscated from their children, pictures preserved, to the authorities. They waited out of respect to the family but when they did nothing, they figured it might be time to act.
Any suggestions on how a WORST CASE scenario like this should be handled? (Since this is completely hypothetical, responses should be abstract and only relate to the hypothetical. Moderators – please help with this if needed).

No. Let's don't let the readers decide. The readers don't know. If you know something, be a man, stand up, give your name and give the evidence. Otherwise, sit down, be quiet, and let the traction-less hoax continue to unravel.

So St. johns is lazy. That still does not excuse the parents from doing nothing and i have spoken to two different parents from that team who absolutely believe the worst to be true. But they describe an incestuous relationship between a good sized group of parents on the inside and the rest. Most of the rest of the parents would love to the see the program blown up and rebuilt but know they are powerless to do anything about it so they just keep their heads down and survive the madness.
All in all, it's a pathetic situation. So if all that happens is that you get smashed on this site, then that will have to be it. But know one thing, Jax soccer is a small community and everyone knows who the insiders are. What little respect you had is now gone. Whenever you come to games, you all might as be wearing a scarlet letter.

Now we supposedly have the parents of a 'very disturbed' son who have reported criminal acts to a sheriff's department and cannot even get a telephone call. We have inside parents who want to see a high school soccer program 'blown up'. Makes sense.
Someone needs to produce the alien and his spaceship, otherwise, The Groundless, Traction-less Hoax will continue to unravel.
