Does anyone know anything about the new Park Vista Girls Coach? Seems to have team heading in a good direction.

Good record but their team is not as talented as the last 2 years. THey graduated a lot of very good travel players. -
They do not have the greatest talent but despite injuires to key players they gave West Boca a great game the other night losing 3-2.
This coach seems to be able to get them up for big games, but they struggle against others. Will be interesting to see how this district shakes out.Comment

PV played well against WB to bad refs let game get out of hand with swallowing their whistles the whole game in favor of the home team. Also PV should be very proud of late hit on WB player just after game ended that left her on the ground for 10 minutes. PV had played very poorly in previous 2 games of 2010 losing 5-0 to banged up Heritage Delray and 2-1 to losing record Royal Palm HS. PV District with Boca High should be very interesting since they tied 0-0 in december. Hope refs remember their whistles.Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment

I'll give him a lot of credit, he had his team playing extremely well for the talent he had. I don't think anyone could have gotten anymore out of those players.Comment

Very close physical defensive struggle. By the way the scouting report on PV is exactly what they tried to do in the game and it almost worked. Give coach credit he definetly got most out of his team. I do not think missing freshman scorer would have made any difference in game. Example is how Coral Glades freshman wilted in last 2 games against very strong defensive teams (Boca and Douglas).Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment

Not sure of you are refering to their last game against Dougles, but I read in the paper that PV was outshot by Douglas 16 to 4, that doesn't sound like a defensive struggle to me, sounds like Douglas just couldn't finish their chances.Comment

Actually, paper was wrong 16 shots to 8, and it also failed to mention that most of Douglas's shots were from 25+ yards out, with only 2 inside the 18 while PV had 2 from within the 18. 3 corner kicks to 2 corner kicks. Don't get me wrong, Douglas was the better team and did deserve to win, but even with the "few" chances PV had they did have quality chances. I agree the freshman may not have made a difference, but as someone stated its amazing what that coach did with what he had. Good luck to Douglas, I think Boca needs to be worried.Comment
