I think it is a bit premature to state who will win this season. Preseason is a time for coaches to try players in different positions and try bench players out to see what they have to offer. Some school have players playing fall sports that have not finished their season as of yet.

The teams are not desperate for attention. Preseason games gives you a chance to see how your new players fit into your team. It is also the time to try players in different positions. It also gives your team extra games since they do not count in your games allowed by fhsaa. It also gives team that have a large district a chance to play against other teams they might normally not get a chance to play. Do you need more reasons?

The Pinellas soccer review will be in print tomorrow morning and as usual, they are getting all the attention. But hey their star player was POY last year. I guess she should enjoy her last year of getting attention.

Berkeley is much more solid with the addition of that GK. The kid is good. She made 2 great back to back saves to preserve the win over EL.

Can we please stop hearing about this player? Everyone is tired of reading about her and then watching her do nothing on the field. Yeah, she's good in "high school" but we all know that really doesn't count - almost EVERYONE is good in high school.

I believe Eastlake has won 2 of the last 3 preseason games, but who's the only team with a ring? The difference lies with a coach who started freshmen to give them some game experience before the season vs. a coach who left starters in the whole game.
