That said--if Washington Timbers places six-seven kids on TA next year--congratulations to them! Even though it will reduce the strength of their local squad, having kids move up the pyramid (and TA U15 is the top boys team in the area, don't pretend otherwise) should be seen as a good thing.
Good clubs, of course, develop more talent when their top players move up to the next level.

If this market would put their personal agendas aside this 05 boys age group could have a very competitive at a high level and a group that is very deep. If you added a few wash timbers, a few FC a few xfire and a few others instead of the friends and family players currently rostered on TA you have a group that would be as good as any Seattle team and would compete with any southern cal teams....
Obviously, there are some kids (including a few at WashT) who easily could play on TA, and a few kids who started the year on TA who have washed out of the program already, or know they won't likely be invited back. But this has to be a two-way street. If clubs are badmouthing the program (and a few seem to be harshly critical of it), they shouldn't then complain that their players are being excluded. To quote an infamous review of a bad restaurant--"the food is terrible, and such tiny portions!"

Kind of like whining about not winning the lottery when you don't buy a ticket.
