GPS won't be flying it's 7th and 8th grade kids to Colorado, Utah, SF, Seattle, etc for regular season games which will save those families about $3k off of what ECNL parents will pay. Crossfire families will pay out the most because they also do summer and fall tournaments unlike FCP.

Oh, so GPS isn't bothering to get their team any top competition then? Afraid to be found wanting? So typical of the low information folks at Hillsboro Select...

You get what you pay for. You're paying $3-4K to play OYSA and NWCL against chumps. Sorry you and your DD were too afraid of the competition in ECNL to even try out.

Tried out.. kids were too low skilled for the $$$.. walked...also noticed the three really good ones that were at the tryouts aren't on the ECNL website rosters..they must have sensed the mediocre ability in the pool also.

Low information? Way to try and twist it, FC parent. I can see that you are jealous that you have a team that runs away from competition as fast as it tries to run down a punt from your keeper. Great offensive philosophy.
Come to a practice. It is the competition. I gather that your information is collected by playing phantom scrimmages. Why don't you have GPS take your place in ECNL? it would improve the image of FC rec. Other ECNL teams would be surprised that an FC team doesn't just kick it and run. We've seen what you have to offer...next.

Looks like GPS club had availsble to players Gothia Cup, Surf Cup, Crossfire Challenge, NWCL and FWRL. Above poster was referring to low travel for "regular season games", unlike ECNL, who travels for regular season games.

Sure you did. Just look at the state and regional ODP and USSF training selections and you'll see where the talent plays. And it's broadly split at this age group. Of course you have never seen any of these lists as your DD rides the pine on her own OYSA rec team.
