The are and always have been consequences while functioning outside that chain. Emailing sensitive material to 20-30 people outside of the chain of command on unsecured servers was just stupid. Just ask Hillary. If you followed the press conference, he was removed by Naval Command without any direction from the president. By saying he was “forced out” you’re implying that he holds no responsibility for his actions and was unjustly removed which we know wasn’t the case. Nice try attempting to tie this to Trump. Carbon copying 20-30 non-military personnel is not following the chain of command. Although he may have been working in the best interest of his crew, he did not follow proper protocol. His commanding officer said he was not informed until after the story was leaked to his hometown paper. This is not how the military functions. The Captains story is not adding up.
