Are there any rules about how many practices and games a high school soccer player can miss due to club soccer? To Letter there are rules about playing so many minutes and games. To be eligible for a player to play in a state cup championship game they have to have played in a certain number of regular district games. The high school and club coaches are sly enough to figure out how to schedule the high school district games to make it work in their favor, but check on the rules and keep attendance on your neighboring high school teams.

Again inconsistency between GDA programs and even our local high schools. While some high school coaches may allow a super stud GDA player to join their team when the GDA club season is over in December, other high school coaches would not ever stoop that low.

Are you looking for high school glory years for your child? How about a child wanting to represent her school but is limited due to club season. Should she play in a weaker conference just to play high school? Everyone is forgetting about what the girls want. Why should they be penalized for being a high-level player?
The high school coaches that are willing to allow players to be added later are true leaders.

Because if U.S. Soccer told the the players they could not do both high school season and GDA at the same time it was the bad leader and the high school coaches and GDA coaches had to work together to make sure it could work out just right for the super stud playing GDA thru mid December and then popping into the high school team to help that coach win a title.

Then the kid should not have joined DA. My kid is playing GDA and this is her first year not playing HS. Not happy that she had to make the choice in the first place, but she did.
However, I do not think it would be ok for her to jump on her HS roster mid December to bolster her schools chances of winning State assuming they even got that far.
That sends the wrong message to her and the HS players who got the team there in the first place. It is no different than lying about your kids age or where your kid lives so they can stack a HS team. It is one of the reasons why professional sports have trading deadlines.
Is is poor sportsmanship to stack a team just before the playoffs. If you are ok with this, you are failing your kid as a parent and telling them its ok to cheat.
