    EDP-NYCSL to limit playing down

An excerpt from an EDP-NYCSL league communication:

    Dear Members,

Welcome to the Fall 2022 season!
As we prepare for kickoff, we want to ensure that you are aware of a few rules and policy changes that have been implemented.
    Game Day Procedures

Team passes & rosters must all be issued from a single league (ex: CJSL/EDP or EHYSL or LIJSL…). Players must be printed on the roster, they may not be handwritten. Handwritten players will result in a forfeit.
    Player movement (New)
In an effort to create a better environment for the players, the following rule has been implemented for the Fall 2022|Spring 2023 seasonal year:
A Player whose primary team is participating in the EDP National League conference cannot play on an EDP team, of the same event age, outside of the conference.
A player whose primary team is participating in this EDP North Atlantic League is not permitted to play on a team that is more than ONE division lower than their primary team’s division level. This ensures fair play for all.

agree on principal. disagree on the last minute rollout of this significant rule change. Fall teams were set w/o this nee rule. If they stick to it, this could screw a lot of multi team clubs lower div teams so that theyll have to fold when there arent abundant player numbers for a full second team.

Those B team kids suck anyway, right?

So if you're an end-of-the-bench NL player, you are screwed.

Larry should stay on his own site but he can't because no one goes there anymore

Unless the NL clubs lower teams play LIJSL. This rule only applies to NYCSL teams, so an NL player can play on an NL team and LIJSL team.

It's just about impossible to enforce, but I like it.
