The entire debate was RU - we are elite. Others- no you are not....yet. Subsequently people like you have tried to twist the argument. RU fans, be happy. Those that dont like RU, have at it. There is no obligation to be proud of RU simply because they are the state school. What makes the Big 10 a top conference for Women's Soccer?

Historically big 10 has at least 5 in the top rpi (based on strength of schedule; ooc play; away games won etc). It is a top conference.

RU is doing great but has really only played a few big programs. They have a pretty light in conf schedule. They are not playing wis; ind; purdue.

They barely beat psu (pk gift) and OhioS (most quality gk's are stopping that FT dribbler...not trying to take away from FT..but that was a weak goal given up). But RU gave tough MI a beating. Zero ACC; no WCC; No pac 12; no Hofstra; lost to princeton and GT.

Yes, definite down year for Big Ten, Rutgers is competitive enough to win the conference tournament. No doubt they will once again make the NCAA’s and that’s the objective.

RPI carries more weight than UC votes and TDS random picks. RPI gets you to the dance, if not an auto (winning league/conf).

75% has nothing to do with your own record. Ie out of your hands. Its a terrible measure of strength of schedule. So basically you are bragging about RPI , ie the wins and losses of your opponents with no adjustment for the quality of said opponents. Pretty stupid really. BTW, it getting to the dance is your issue, then seriously, you are not an Elite program with top tier aspirations.

A system where you get more credit for playing West Carolina (8-5-1) than you do the defending National Champion, Santa Clara (6-4-2).More weight goes to that vs your own record. Plain dumb system in Womens soccer.

If you can’t tear down the performance of RU then you tear down the institution that ranks the teams. You need to be a bit more sophisticated in your argument of belittling RU. This movie has been repeated throughout history when trying to discredit a person or organization. Try to be a bit more creative.
