Sounds like was on NEFC for a while then the DAP bug bit. Don't see his name on the current Rev roster though.

Left at the conclusion of his U-17 year. Playing Revs as U18.

I am really shocked at how lightly this guy has gotten
off here. I guess breaking your word is no big deal
anymore. And I don't buy the kid changed his mind
        theory.

There are always two sides of the story...the truth about what really happened probably lies somewhere between. Go ahead and argue one side or the other, however this will not affect on the future of soccer at MI or UNH.

What schools are giving all the free rides to the DAP players? G'Town, UCONN, UNC or UCLA?

I take it not one local soccer player got into Assumption, Bentley, St. Michaels, Curry College, Springfield College, ? Who puts this stupid lists together?

??? First of all the idea of a "full ride" athletic scholarship in Men's College Soccer doesn't happen. Second the DAP players going to top 20 soccer ranked D1 colleges are not coming from the Mass or NH DAP teams. Third the lists you see in this thread indicate what college these players will be attending next year. Hopefully they will be playing soccer, but just because they are listed in D1 doesn't mean they are receiving any "athletic scholarship"...they could be receiving some, but just because it says D1 doesn't mean there is. Hopefully for these D1 players they are receiving some scholarship whether it be 10% or 40% as every amount helps. Regarding the other colleges ????? Every year about 125 Mass HS graduates go on to play college soccer as freshman...with most playing D3....to all of those from the HS class of 2013 who will be attempting to play college soccer next year congratulations and good luck both on the pitch and in the classroom.

                MA Players & Mens NCAA D1 (2012)

I recently took the train to Philly and back, so I had quite a few idle hours. Besides wanting to validate/invalidate my own (stubborn?) predilections about the whole local club soccer “effort” and where it led (or didn’t!) at the “end of the day”, I’ve always been curious as to how all these commitment lists continuously appearing on TS translated to or correlated with the actual D1 college experience (for example, you have to expect that not every player who plays for a college team previously appeared on a "list"...and vice versa...you wouldn't expect everyone who appears on one to roster/play), so I used the time to look up every D1 program in the country to see what the facts---i.e., the final rosters and team statistics---showed for the most recent NCAA season.

If there is interest, I can share what I compiled; I would just need some time to post. (In any case, some estimates I have seen on TS are pretty close to actuals in terms of D1 participation...depending on how you define it).

OP here. You may have noticed I have summarized what happened to the past three classes, mostly D1 in the 2010 to 2012 threads. Too early for 2013 obviously. One recent observation is that about 10 MA kids each year end up playing a lot, a small to moderate fraction of who started out. It would be interesting to get your take. You may notice I try to discourage drilling in too far on any one kid, for obvious reasons. The idea here is to give recruiting age parents a rough idea of what generally happens to top MA soccer players, so they can plan accordingly.

Yes, I did notice those summaries you provided not long ago, and quite frankly, I was surprised how low the numbers were...even for someone with my bent (I guess one reason I had to check for myself ;)). Rest assured, btw, that I too have no interest in the individual names behind the data and can appreciate your desire to downplay that aspect of this, even if being able to relate to the players provides a yardstick of sorts.

In any case, I take it by your overture that you are OK with me using this thread, as I did not want to go off-topic in any way. So, some high-level numbers just for context while I prepare some MA-specific stats:
                    • 204 Division 1 teams
                    • 5,326 individual players on the season-end (i.e., currently displayed) rosters
                    • 26 players per team, on average
                    • 19 games played per team, on average

There are other factors that can affect playing time besides skill. Over the past few years , I know of players suspended for the following reasons:
                      - violating team policy
                      - drugs
                      - alcohol
                      - missing practices
                      - missing study tables
-kidnapping ( locked his girlfriend in a room and wouldn't let her leave)
-hidden recording of sex with coed posted online
                      -fighting on campus
                      -injury / surgery

You can read the statistics, but, there are many untold stories behind those numbers. Ask the returning players at the school you are looking to attend if any incidents have happened in recent years....
