For those who don't know these events are just for show - they are not how players get selected for the top teams.

100 times this. The only way a top player shows up for tryouts is if they have already been ex-communicated from their current team. And that leads to a whole set of other questions.

No ECNL or ECNL Regional players were allowed to attend the ID Clinic which is why people think there are a lot of changes coming. I don't think potential players appear out of nowhere at ID clinics. Serious contenders are scouted and asked to come.

ITD strong players are approached and asked to come to ID Clinics. In the case of NEFC and Surf there are definitely groups of players looking to make a switch together to get out of GA.

No. Serious contenders email the coach and ask to come work out

Usually these things are 90% Stars NEP players. Its mainly to give them hope that they have a shot of moving up.

People are always calling ECNL a money grab but the real money grab is the players on central purple athletic in NEP league 2. Got to find a way to keep them around.

Kids that are in the mix are asked to come to team practices. This is not new.

Not true. Atleast for the first age groups.

The 2010 ‘ECNL’ group play as the 2009 ECNL-R team in league play, since there isn’t a 2010 age group in league play. Those girls were there last night.

Yes they were there and other really good FC stars girls there not from that team.

Yes, the ulittles were all there. The older ECNL and ECNLR players were not. Are we done with this now?
