    Dpl

    Some recent developments...

DPL website went down for a couple of hours. When visiting the site an error message appeared. Within that error message was the following.

"Please contact the server administrator at webmaster@dpleague-org.wearelasurf.com"

Statement directly from the GA Commissioner Lesle Gallimore

"Over the last month, we, the Girls Academy (GA) have made changes to ensure the current
pathway to the GA is inclusive to all our members’ second teams as well as prospective
member clubs. In doing so, we have dissolved designating the Development Player League
(DPL) as the GA’s official second tier".

    Clubs added recently

FC Dutchmen - mid level program from Albany.
NY Rush Select - decent program based out of Rochester, NY. Enjoy that trip!
SDA - decent program based out of Syracuse.

What are the likes of NEFC and Seacoast doing in the DPL? It's a third rate league with no connection or pathway to any other league, being operated by Surf in LA. What a crock!

It doesn’t matter what the league is called. The clubs / teams currently playing in MA are enjoying good competition and a good environment. What else matters?

Thanks JT! We’ll keep that in mind.

DPL NE is a collection of clubs collaborating. They will decide if the DPL is the best platform moving forward, or whether USYSA National League / EDP is the best path forward. In the mean time SPOL and co can keep their NPL Impact and travel to CO for meaningless games.

We’ve been to a few NPL Finals in CO. Great state, awful soccer. Never seen one single college coach, that’s about the level you need to know.

Wonder what the DPL thinks of LL these days? Although the DPL is way way way better than IMPACT NPL! Impact npl might have a collection of the worst teams combined in a league. Talk about some bad soccer. Way to go LL

FC STARS just announced on FB joining Impact.

FC Stars is proud to announce that we are joining the New England Impact NPL. Based out of the FC Stars Complex in Lancaster, MA, FC Stars will begin competing in the all girls @impact_npl this fall. That's right. 2 ECNL National and 2 ECNL Regional and THEN the IMPACT team. All out of Lancaster. Talk about watered down.

Who knows? Who cares? Get over yourself you have no clue. As long as these kids are playing good for them and good for Stars to create more opportunities for their players.

You do know that they aren’t all really out of Lancaster many of their teams practice out of Lancaster so for example Northboro can be considered Lancaster as well as Acton and Worcester, they have plenty they can draw from “out of Lancaster.” Don’t worry not watered down.
