Why is scorpions so late. Lack of organization? Also what about 07-03/04. Are they doing a thing for that age.

I think the 06s and older are pretty well set. No need to hold open tryouts when you'd only consider 1-2 gamechangers as additions. Those girls know how to reach out if they are interested in Scorpions.

Why so late? Just guessing but I suspect it has something to do with the fact that the Scorpions U12-U14 have a gap in their schedule after games next weekend. No games on May 15/16 provides a good window to schedule tryouts.

06 and older are all set ? They just got stomped by stars blue this past weekend. 3 goals for 16 against. They need more than 1-2 game changers with those results.

Do you think any of these teams find game changers in open tryouts? Cmon man.

To translate for parents who may be going through this for the first time.

Call up the coaches of the teams and have your daughter participate in a practice. Open tryouts after u14 are not going to work.

Likely not. So? What’s your point?

Frankly we need more depth so if we find a couple, great

U14 and up will always take the better player.

Point is, it doesn’t matter when the open tryout is. The open tryout is mostly PR and the extremely infrequent diamond in the rough at lower ages. As said a couple posts up, this is not the way kids join these teams. If your kid is good and has interest, make some calls to the club and they will ask you to come to a couple practices. This way they can gauge the kid against the other kids on the team rather than the unknown quality of the other kids trying out. These type of practice-tryouts happen non stop year round. So to bring it back to the point: open tryouts don’t matter, so the timing of the tryouts don’t matter.
