I have 3 kids that play at CSA. One on the boys side and two on the girls. I'm very friendly with alot of the coaches. Tell me which age group/team your talking about and I'll find out what's going on for you.

We were told that Tom N would be our coach again. We accept and pay and now they say Niko S. will be the coach.

We probably know each other then. This was told to us before try outs. I don’t know how you missed it as it was discussed. It’s disappointing that someone on our team would come on here and do this. We are excited to have NS as the coach and are grateful to have had Tom. Very good coaches in them both.

We also had Greg W as coach and then bait and switch in middle of season no less to a new guy that just came in from outside about a year ago.

Don’t believe any of this stupidity. Everyone at CSA knows the truth. What you see written here is people trying to act like they know the truth but really have no idea.

This is the ONLY real option any (non first year) parent has with CSA. Do NOT pay anything and hold out paying as long as possible. They will threaten with not holding a spot, not allowing your child to train, not carding, etc. - but once you send payment to CSA - your are out of luck. If they do not deliver on the things they guarantee or promise - your room to haggle / argue is gone. They do not return emails or phone calls, they do not negotiate in any way. It is VERY difficult (but possible) to get out of those payment contracts - but it takes effort and time to call your credit card company / bank and explain they are in breach of contract. Which League and Bracket your team will play in - how many kids on the roster (initially) - who is the actual coach, how bad the parents are and which ones are up the coach's butt - this is a BIG deal. They say they will not hold a spot. This is BS - CSA is notorious for telling every naïve parent that - forcing early payment and commitment - 2 weeks later players are added to the roster who did not try out, did not pay, etc, and this will continue throughout the season.

Here is the Process:
Print out all the registration documents from the Online Site. Complete them and sign and drop them off hard copy to the office mailbox or mail them in. This way your paperwork is in - the kid is registered and they know of your intent to play - but they cannot start taking your money before the child has even set foot on the field.
Keep following up with emails - reinforcing your registration and intent to play, commit, etc - keep stalling - they will allow your kid to play while sorting it all out.

CSA is the worst in terms of administration, organization, etc - Stall Stall Stall - pay as last resort

they NEED the kids, enrollment is down - no matter how much they pretend they are selective - they won't turn away your player

Tom N has been retiring for a year it’s well know inside of the soccer community . What is also well known is Niko is a big bully who chased multiple girls off of the teams he coached this past year. Stay away from CSA especially if they are trying to force your daughter into a team coached by Niko. 50 % of his older girls at LVU along with their parents can’t stand the guy because he is an abusive coach.

Same thing at PDA. Mike was supposed to be the coach for the season, but instead teams have a clifton high school coach instead.
