Agree. And it's one thing for players/parents to do this. It's at another level IMO if the school coach is complicit. S/he is putting people's lives at risk..it is reprehensible...period. Those districts are easy to identify and it's a known fact that certain coaches were aware their players were away since they had to miss Friday, and possibly Thursday. The coaches and administrators are the ones supposed to maintain public health and lookout for the safety of the rest of their community. They failed.

Especially when that school coach is President of the Girls Soccer Coaches Association and would blow a freaking gasket if he had one of his stars quarantining when other schools did not. Nice example to set, what a jerk!

This is an anonymous post. Why don’t you tell us the name of the person who is responsible? And the players who did not quarantine.

Not into calling out kids, they're being guided by the idiot adults in their life like their parents and coaches. There's more than one team that permitted this, but there's only one that heads up the coaches association and is supposed to be enforcing the rules, not openly flaunting that they don't apply to him.

Hey, it’s 2021 not 2020. NY already has the random and arbitrary out of state date of 4/1 with no Q. The end is here and you are still hanging on. Let’s goooooo!

Our modern progressive society is all about screwing over those who follow the rules. If you are a law-abiding, hardworking, and productive taxpayer, you get punished. If you are a law-breaking, lazy, unproductive drain on society, you get rewarded. Get with the program. It is the modern "progressive" way. Complying with the rules = SUCKER!

There is still a travel quarantine in effect until April 1. There is a minimum of 3 days of quarantining and then you can test out.

At a minimum, no high school players should be in any games today or tomorrow. We all agree that soccer is low-risk, but the rules are still in place and shouldn't be enforced by some districts and not others. Coaches should not be willingly flaunting rules just to win a HS game.
Huntington and Smithtown East played yesterday all kids that were away, from my knowledge, quarantined.

                  .

This is completely false and as the poster above said those who followed the rules may be labeled as suckers but you are a loser for allowing your kid to play. Don't come on in pushing your agenda and spreading lies.

Too many ***HOLES in youth sports!

You could go down the list of schools that had kids quarantining because of Jeff Cup, that's the issue. When the president of the Girls Soccer Coaches Association flaunts that his kids don't have to quarantine because he makes his own rules, but everyone else has to follow the NYS mandate, people tend to get p.o.'d.

Yep, if people are peeved they should stop whining on anonymously and contact the Section XI director or NYSPHSAA. Heard parents reached out yesterday to people at both organizations giving them a heads up and that they both reached out to the schools' ADs warning them about penalties for infractions, prior to afternoon games. If coaches were given the opportunity to do the right thing and didn't, they should face the penalties for it.

NYSPHSAA is required to follow state issued guidance.Schools that didn't follow the guidelines should face penalties, it's really that simple.
