It's quite frankly embarrassing for NEFC to be compared directly to select. NEFC should rightly be compared with Stars. Comparing NEFC with Select is like comparing a star European player to an mls player. NEFC and select are like comparing an apple to an orange. There is no comparison. NEFC has higher aspirations than being brought down 2 levels to be compared to a small regional club.

combine this with loosing regions and shrinking, not a good sign. having there own field is a big plus.

Then the rest can all be in on big group.
The only reason why I put those 2 above the rest is simple their top teams play in a stable league. If your a parent of a 9th grade player that wants to play D1 soccer in college and you can pick any club I would pick stars or scorpions just because of the league they play in.
Honestly would you want to join select not knowing what league you could be playing in next year?
Again this doesn’t have anything to do with coaching or how good the teams are. Only thing that you do know is the teams you play and the college showcases you will go to.

South Shore Select is the neighborhood deli that the locals love, but who really drives out of their way for chicken parm?

And you mention those two clubs because they have teams better than Stars Blue.

No club is a good club unless you are on a top team period. Stars regional, NEFC regional, etc. weak trash.
