    What has happened to Pulisic

Christian Pulisic is getting very little playing time since his former coach at Dortmund, Thomas Teuchel, has taken over Chelsea...with Timo Werner, Mason Mount and Callum Hudson-Odoi playing extremely well in Tuchel’s first few games in charge, it will be tough for the USMNT star to force his way into this Chelsea starting lineup...I always thought it was a mistake for him to leave Dortmund because the one thing the Bundesliga does is give young players playing time...

I was thinking the same thing the last time i watched them play. When he was in it didn't seem like he was really involved in the offense. It's crazy because the kid is so explosive.

It's definitely a very different animal over there, but there are questions as to whether or not he's with the right team. Skills matter but so does fit.

A player under 5'10" has no future unless he has superb skills and speed . For goalkeepers 6'1"

You sound like a youth florida soccer coach. You dummy size means nothing for a field player. My son is 5-8 120 pounds and uses those big kids as markers . Gtfoh!!

One more for you. please see real numbers, not what you think is right. Short players have little chances unless you are Messi.

I haven't seen an accurate post yet in this thread.

                        1) Timo certainly hasn't "played well" since TT arrived. He's been left out of the squad several times his recent dribbler that found the back of the net...wait, it was so weak that it never touched the net...was Timo's first goal in 1000 minutes. Yes, you read that right. 1000 PL minutes, 1 goal.

Timo is getting minutes because of his pace and Chelsea not wanting their huge investment to tank in value. With Werner set to earn $57.5 million over the next five years, plus the $15 million in agent fees and $59 million transfer, Chelsea have made a significant investment in the region of $140 million. It is a big package, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.

He's 24 and has less years to develop than Pulisic.

                        2) Mount ha seen a significantly diminished role under TT compared to Lampard. He still will see the field due to his extremely high work rate and scrappy physical play.

                        3) Hudson-Odoi HAS seen a complete rebirth and resurrection under TT. He has changed position and is playing wing back in TT 3 back system. Pulisic will never be a wing back.

                        4) Pulisic is not the only player that has seen their role diminish under TT, as a matter of fact TT has made a obvious concerted effort to bring players out of the cold and back into the squad since he has taken over.

back in: Jorgino, Rudiger, Tammy, Marcus Alonzo, Kovacic, Azpillicueta, Christiensen ...even KEPA

now diminished: Pulisic, Zouma, Mount, Reece James, Chillwell, Kante, Haveretz, Ziyech

Post lockdown Pulisic looked like one of the best players in the world for about 2 months before he tore his hamstring in the FA Cup final. He has never regained form. Couple nagging injuries combined with lack of confidence and the rest of the side as a whole not playing well have most likely all contributed to his lack of form.

He's 22, he has plenty of time to get back on form and make an impact.
