Do all you geniuses realize Tony Amato is under contact through the end of this year, he still has another season (2021) to coach. There is NO suggestion or announcement he is leaving Arizona early. And, from what I am told, the girls dodged a bullet here.

Oh boy! He has 1 year remaining on his contract! Because we all know coaches never leave with time remaining on their contracts. Look, I am not going to pretend to know whether Amato will be the next UF coach or not but it is interesting he no longer has any mention on his Twitter account of being the UA soccer coach or accompanying school related banner. Hey, this may be standard practice for him but it does seem rather out of the norm for college head coaches to not mention the school they work for. We shall see soon enough.

They hired a female coach and won a NC with her. Seems crazy to just assume every hire would be a female. UF has done a great job of inclusion for a long time now.

Who is to say they did not reach out to prime candidates such as McNeil and Shields because apparently they did. Therefore they should bypass all remaining prime candidates because they happen to possess a crank in order to get to a lesser qualified female candidate? Yeah, that is brilliant. UF has nothing to apologize for when it comes to minority and female hiring. Let the best available candidate win.
