As a B team, they suffer from the "curse of B teams"--their top players get promoted to the A team. Last year the team had a forward who, during the middle of the season, grew from a slightly-awkward kid who loved soccer into someone who was an absolute beast. This year he's on Copa Red. And about a third of the team are kids who used to play for Red, at some point in their Westside careers, but to whom puberty has not been kind, or hasn't happened yet.
Which is why worrying about results and team placement and such in middle school, especially if you're talking about players whose touch isn't top-rate, is pointless.
