I think it is funny that you try to say Copa White is anything special when they have not beat a top team since 2019- when the boys were 10/11 years old. LOL.

Post a link to results where any B team beat a top team since 2020.

Copa white isn't in Gold for a reason.
    Nor should they be.

As a B team, they suffer from the "curse of B teams"--their top players get promoted to the A team. Last year the team had a forward who, during the middle of the season, grew from a slightly-awkward kid who loved soccer into someone who was an absolute beast. This year he's on Copa Red. And about a third of the team are kids who used to play for Red, at some point in their Westside careers, but to whom puberty has not been kind, or hasn't happened yet.

Which is why worrying about results and team placement and such in middle school, especially if you're talking about players whose touch isn't top-rate, is pointless.

Current placement in league play. Hard to argue that much will change between now and end of the season unless Copa Red beats Capital TImbers next weekend.
      No one cares about Silver.

Top 3 are set now with Copa Red- Capital and UPDX. Copa is strong and the best team in the state. Capital is vulnerable as their "style" isn't built to last.
FCSC will bump up to 4th and likely will win out. Playing solid ball and has a few kids that are huge with good ball skills.
OPFC who has scored 1 goal in last 5 games. Terrible offensive scheme by their coach. They will finish 5th after winning this week and losing in two weeks.
ADF will finish 6th- will win at PCU and lose to FCSC and Cap
7th to PCU- will beat OVF and lose the other two. Solid showing form this team. Something to build upon.
8th ETFC - will lose the rest
9th OVF- will beat OPFC and lose the rest. Good showing for the most part and are much better than their record.
10th EST- will lose out. They are close to being middle of the pack.

Copa Red is dominate. No team is week to week close. Fun to watch them.

Clarify- This was not Seattle United ECNL= it was the "copa" team.

              Against SU's "B" team?

              OK

Interestingly enough it looks like Rogue Valley and Bend are now in Gold for spring Play so they will get their fair chance to prove themselves. They took the place of OVF and Eastside who were overmatched in most games in Fall with an overall combined record of 2 wins, 3 ties and 19 losses with a negative 47 goal differential.

                Early predictions?

                - 1- WST
                - 2- FCSC
                - 3- CPT
                - 4- OPFC
                - 5- ADF
                - 6- PCU
                - 7- ETFC
                - 8- RVT
                - 9- BFCT

Will definitely be interesting to see how RVT & Bend fare at this level. Is this the season where Capital comes back to reality and isn't carried by size and strength difference?

Also, where is UPDX? What happened to them this season?

Every game is interesting here and should be a fun run leading up to State Cup.

UPDX is one of three teams that chose to play in the EAL. Originally the U14 and below teams were not going to play in both EAL and OYSA spring ball. Guess OPFC and Capital decided to play. Capital tied OPFC this past weekend and lost to UPDX last weekend so there is that. This is overall a fun group to watch and hoping RVT and Bend do better than OVF did. WST, ADF, OPFC, Capital and FCSC are a tough group.

So much more travel in the EAL. And for what? Looks to be a mix of OYSA & PSPL teams. That sounds super fun....
I'm not sure I see the benefit of this league, at least at the 08 age.
                      Am I missing something????

Wondering what happened to WST? Lost to OPFC and barely beat RVT this past weekend. Were they missing a bunch of their top players, COVID, or ?. They have been so dominant that this is kind of surprising. Did anyone see the games. We have not played RVT ever and have not played OPFC since summer. But WST left an impression on us last game as they were just fantastic.

Who knows....but they had better figure it out quickly. They have 2 difficult games this weekend against Eugene & FCSC.

We played in it this year. It was OK. Needs higher quality of teams to buy in to make it worth the travel.. I heard that one of the three clubs (at least) was bailing out after this first year because of how expensive travel was, lower level of competition than anticipated and scheduling conflicts. I actually heard that two were out- UPDX and OPFC.

This was a decent idea but would only be meaningful if the top 5 clubs in oregon and washington along with Boise were in it. Some of the teams were terrible.

                              Interesting ...

FCSC beat WST today after losing to them last week. And handedly beat OPFC. Them Vs Capital should be a decent match
WST has been all over the place. Losing to OPFC and then barely beating RVT then rebounding beating FCSC just to lose to them.... today. They will rebound. They have to play Capital still though.
OPFC beat WST and Capital Timbers in close matches then got beat by FCSC- for this season they have played all the tougher teams and did fine but will find a way to lose to some of the weaker teams now.
Capital has lost their steam and teams have them figured out. Set plays, PK's and beating teams with the long ball only get you so far.
                              ADF- not really relevant anymore.

UODX is not playing in league matches but are a tougher out now.

1- WST- slipping some lately but are the real deal. JB has a ton of talent and if he doesn't win now he never will. This team is going to look very average after this year after the TA takes 5 of their kids- their wingers, striker and center back.
2- FCSC- solid number two with some dominant kids that are huge and fast. They will be the team to beat in the coming years at the TA isn't taking any talent from them. Coach is from Victors make up and gets his boys to play hard. This team will be
3- UPDX- win despite their coach. He is dumb. DOn't think the boys respect him at all. The TA will take two of their kids and they will be decent after this year.
4- OPFC- winning games they shouldn't and losing games they should win. Coach is lax, comfy and his team mirrors him. Soft. The TA will take two midfielders and possible a winger. Team will be below average from here on out. No talent.
5- Cap T- There time has run out. Coach doesn't care as much about talent with the ball as much as he does speed and size. Got him some W's at U12 and U13 but not looking good in the future. Several boys are on TA radar and will be gone after this year. One barely plays for him as he is "too small" but the kid can play. Likey two will be gone and a possible third.
6- ADF- Middle of the road. Victor does outstanding with the talent level he has. If he was at WST they would never lose. The parents would hate him though as WST boys are used to eating from a silver spoon. ADF boys aren't always used to eating. This is a team that will see a resurgence next year. Just watch. Non are going to the TA.
