He cited an NPR article about a Harvard Professor recruited to open a lab in China that drew attention from NIH and was subsequently arrested by FBI. It was relevant to the discussion about Ivy. While every org has a bad apple, it does highlight a case of a well-funded P.I. at an elite university being susceptible to greed and thus undermines the academic reputation of that university. When presented with this uncomfortable fact your retort was “oh yeah, Donald Trump”. You proud of that answer? You comfortable with that as a representative example of your ability for critical thinking and intellectual debate?

I don’t need your help with this clown but thanks for the support.
Here comes his answer in 3, 2, 1.... “Intellectual debate on TS? What joke!”
Dumb dumb doesn’t even realize HE introduced the concept of being smaht enough, and having Ivy League level kids. Its like beating an amputee with his own prosthetic leg

This is real and some, like my d, have transferred.
I want my child to be a free thinker; to not follow the crowd. We don't condone mistreatment, racism, etc. But when some who may not get noticed/playing time otherwise are driving the bus because they are the loudest, time to find another ride.
the meanie Ivy. This is the norm. Fake indoctrination at school, while the goal is to beat
out your classmates to attend these schools. Let's hug and hold hands, so you can't plunge
that dagger in my back.
My dd attends a top 40 private school and I would like to believe that I am still middle class,
but I know I am not. The demographics of parents are not, minus the scholy kids' parents.
Many of these people are wealthy and you do not become wealthy by being somebody else's tool. The best way to understand this is: Rules for thee, but not for me. The goal is to have
their kids (and mine) to attend Ivy, Top 25, and Top LAC. My kid is going for Ivy and top
LAC D3.
Of course, you are a work of fiction, but just in case, for others who have the fortune
to have a Ivy soccer player, do not listen to this false narrative. The woke, BLM, etc
are just trends at these schools, not everyday life. Yes, I am ashamed my privilege has
helped me, but I am not willing to give up our summers at the beach house.
You play along until it is not trendy anymore and long forgotten. You are allowing these
little sharks to trip your dd up and forcing her out of their little game. Your dd will find
her people and everything will be ok. Good luck. Or rather, quit soccer and goto Bunker
Hill. Much better and safer there. Trust me.

From my perspective as a parent, I wish her school would focus on balancing the perspectives that are presented to the student population. I'm not a fan of coddling individuals to the point where alternative views can never be heard on campus. I would prefer that various sides are presented and the listeners / viewers encouraged to utilize their critical thinking skills to divine the truth.

Do they think that every kid is attending every guest lecture from a BLM member and being forced to recite anti-Trump slogans? My kid is at one of the HYP schools, and between her sport, her studies and her limited social life she doesn't have the time or energy to get woke, indoctrinated or anything else. She's not a Sociology, Philosophy or Political Science major, so she isn't suffering from any kind of one-sided slant in perspective that may or may not exist. Like a lot of kids at the Ivies, she is focused on her work, and won't react to every burp from FOX or CNN.

All kids, no, but I would be 80% of Dartmouth kids are liberal Biden junkies. Most of these kids are as they never had to work for anything

Unfortunately at some of the campuses isn't fiction. Respect goes both ways. You may not like my opinion but it is my opinion or belief and vice versa as far as yours. Open minded.
At some of these universities, even some professors, they dictate who and what gets respect. That isn't free thinking. It is the opposite of what a liberal style school or what a former ivy encompassed from back in my day.
