PSU got a break..not taking anything away from PSU (Frankie T...pda) broke ankles vs FSU defense. But FSU tied it up 10 mins later.

The difference is FSU is getting players from other top clubs in NJ (non ECNL/non PDA) like CSA, SJEB etc. Rutgers is getting all the PDA players and that’s about it. Top programmes like UNC, FSU are checking out the non PDA clubs for sure.

I think you missed the point. If the sub rules were different, coach c=would have to choose between players like Zhao and Nishwonger OR more physical ones. Instead, sub rules allow him to avoid that tactical. I dont think I said FSU dont play a possession based style. PS - he is doing a lot of it with non American talent. Another part of my point that you chose to gloss over because the latest score dictates your POV. Like 99pct of the people here. There is no real med term/ long term soccer view in this country. Its all about the hot story.

Of course. If the sub rules were different. I was a fan of the GDA (1st yr in particular) because howell, nightswonger, pinto, and company were all in it and with the limited subs (FIFA rules), a coach had to coach. It was a little different because every rostered player had to get a certain amount of starts. So coaches had to juggle that because it was about recruiting.

But limited subs in college would make the game much better. Not many teams have the FSU and UNC depth as far as top talent.

Score does not dictate POV with me, quality of play, talent and coaching does. An ugly win is a win and in order to get the opportunity for postseason play, wins matter. But i would much rather watch a well played, tactical, game.

But as we know, the cruel game of soccer does not always let the best team win.

Listen Rutgers does it to themselves letting the top talent in Jersey from others academies go to top ACC and PAC-12 schools. They should expand their horizons to look at other clubs as mentioned.

Why would MO do that? That takes too much effort and time. That means MO would have to get in a car and drive all over NJ to look at talent playing at other clubs. God forbid he legitimizes other development academies and what they do. Isn’t just easier to have the players and parents drive to a facility 10 mins from campus and then MO can just take the “pick of the litter” sorta speak? Think how much MO is saving the RU athletic department by not having to waste gas and possibly tolls to go somewhere farther than a 5 mile radius from campus to recruit. Finished players can just join the party at Zarephath couple years before college for two practices a week and add to the fame of PDA.

It’s PDA Blue, Penn Fusion and World Class. Those are the three top ECNL Teams in this area. After that it’s the other ECNL teams in no special order then everyone else.
