It looks like HA has dropped it's youth program. I no longer see any reference to it on their website. Instead, they have formed an "affiliation" with AC CT.

AC CT is currently in USL League 2 (formerly PDL) and will play in the USL Academy League.

In short, HA is no longer directly committed to youth development.

shocker - struggling start up is looking for extra revenue from silly parents

                    From their site:

"Support Connecticut in its pursuit to be a dominant state in the development of soccer players within the United States."

Now we know they're full of it.

"International trips to Southampton FC or Sporting Portugal (travel costs not included in program fee)"

That's cool for the few who would pay for Junior to go play a couple friendlies in Europe rather than New York for some reason.

"Yoga sessions every other week with the First Team’s yoga instructor"

                    Sold!

yes, for the right level and age it definitely can be. Some teams are pretty good as are some coaches (not all). I always advise people to explore all options this time of year. Finding a good fit and good coaching matters most, less so the league. If your kid is <U13 dont' sweat the league thing yet.
