You don’t get around much. Most African and South American students get 100% need based $$. Nice trick to keep your athletic $$ for the others.
Clearly you don't since the rosters are also filled with kids from Europe. Most won't qualify for FA but need a large incentive to come to US colleges when they can go to university for pennies back home.
But you're only getting in based on your own merit. Soccer had nothing to do with admittance. Yes the future is what matters - even recruited athletes need to get a job - but soccer didn't drive a walk-on's path to school
The academic bar is lowered significantly for recruited athletes. It is the ultimate hook in college admissions.

Yes, but not at all schools and also varies a great deal by sport. Duke basketball players are a different category from soccer players. Also not all athletes are "supported" by the coach. They'll push a lot harder for a player they really want vs one on the bubble. There's a reason coaches love strong athletes who are smart enough to get in without a tip. Since there was a discussion of walk-ons, walk-ons get zero coach support.

Your reading comprehension is off. I listed the two continents that scoop up Financial aid. Last I checked Europeans are pretty good at soccer so we tend to get their pro rejects which then become our stars. And yes they suck up athletic $$ but also depending on the school and kid they sometimes grab some partial academic $$. Men’s coaches especially need to be clever about managing all this if they want to assemble then maintain a competitive roster.

Check out roster and player stats - typically foreign players get a ton of PT. That means they're also getting a lot of $ because $ goes to the player that help coaches win games

I don’t need to check that out. Foreign player PT and contribution is off the charts, especially for the boys. I have sponsored some of them and know their situations. Coaches desperately want them. But if they can get 100% rides through Need $$ or augment it with academic $$ they do it so they can scoop up more quality players. Most quality internationals don’t pay a dime. The players don’t care how they get their free rides.
One comment though as a sponsor. During holidays and breaks some of those kids struggle. Having sponsors like us really helps.
It’s common sense. The earliest recruits get money. The later recruits get nothing. The “recruits” that need to wait for an admission decision are walk ons.
After NLI day it’s all fluff.
Seacoast is dominating the early commits and to good schools as well.

What is never mentioned is that many of these top-flight recruits are binned from English football academies, leaving them with nothing to do nor any money.
College recruiters scoop them up like ice cream fallen off the cone.

And their rejects get the spots and playing time instead of US players, because they're usually better players. So much for BDA and MLS raising the level of US play over the last 13+ years

Football in England is a passion. Here it’s just yuppie parent daycare.
Seacoast got taken apart 6-1 at u19 by Bolts last night....u17s lost to Bolts Saturday as well. Revs beat them soundly week before as well. May want to hold off a bit on the coronation....
