If people are so disgusted by the costs of club soccer… why not stop paying and have their kids do something different? Nope you can’t do that so you just keep paying and paying.

So it’s not the clubs who are the issue. It’s you stupid parents out their that will pay SSS $5K to be on their girls U13 4th team. If there were more parents out their who would say No to paying for a 3rd or 4th team then the clubs would say no to having those teams. But it’s you moronic parents who want/need to have this social status that my daughter or son plays for tbis club or that club just to say so. It’s ridiculous. It’s the parents who are the issue and are constantly willing to pay extraordinary amounts to be on a 3-5th team in an age group.

The coaches aren't the ones making money - most are paid crap and have other jobs. It's the owners that make the coin. It's a business that will charge what the market will bear. Parents keep paying it. There's lots of lower cost options out there. Put your kid in one of those.

Why is the job of soccer parents to solve all of US Soccer's problems? Who tried and failed with GDA? Who implemented the stupid calendar year mandate? Who has a bloated overpaid headquarters that can't organize it's way out of a paper bag? Who runs the male MLS clubs trying to produce pro players and not doing a very good job of it?

Parents are just trying to wade through the soccer swamp. They didn't create it but they have to deal with it as best they can.

Why does it REALLY MATTER TO YOU, what other people choose to spend their money on?
Are you a coach that can’t compete in this business? Are you a parent that is insecure , and worried that another kid might outshine your kid and take their spot? What is it?

For most players that's what it should be; decent soccer, lots of fun, no crazy pricing or travel. Elite top end soccer is a mess - most players aren't elite and are being poorly trained regardless.
