How embarrassing that at the same time that necsl announces scorpions, NEP announces a freaking town soccer program. And what the hell is an associate member anyway?

After u11 most clubs top teams aren’t in the league. But let’s not stand around and say that necsl hasn’t completely trumped the nep because it has. The necsl
Now has local based competition for the lowest level teams at pretty much all age groups and a strong national platform for those playing in edp. It has won the battle.

But let’s not praise the league because we all know it’s the people that joined the league that were the ones that started the change. Whether people like it or not juventus are a big time player right now and the staff they have at the top of the club are some of the best. Necsl was lucky to get some of the best leaders, the rest was bound to happen and it did. Bolts and sss wanted to control and now they are left picking up the pieces, shame. Add nefc and seacoast to necsl and the damage was done, all these others are just icing on the cake.

I’m really excited for Ronaldo’s transfer to Juve Boston. The NESCL growth is just icing on the cake.

All true. But then again in a couple of years infighting at NECSL will result in yet another league being formed and eventually the demise of NECSL. It’s a pattern.

So does this mean clubs like NEFC & Scorpions will put their top older teams (after GA & ECNL) in EDP national league?

Heck no. Regional ECNL, DPL, even NPL. All better.

US youth soccer's focus on quantity over quality is their demise at the higher levels. No shock they've won the lowest level though - congrats NECSL.

I'll agree that it would be nice if higher level soccer in MA consolidated in US Club Soccer (i.e. ECNL - should be obvious by now) and lower level soccer in MA consolidated in US Youth Soccer (i.e. NECSL - should be obvious by now).

Sadly, everybody has to have their own pyramid. What they don't get is that US Soccer is the pyramid in this country. US Youth Soccer is the bottom level (more players, less ability). US Club Soccer is the level right above it (fewer players, more ability). Why can't they both just accept that and focus on the level at which they're actually competent? (yes, I know...its all about the greed and the egos...and not about the kids or the game...)

LL just got rejected from NECSL. All other clubs were asked if SSS should be allowed in. Good riddance Liz.

So the current clubs have say in who gets in? God I would love it if Select & Bolts are excluded and everyone else jumps.
