Only 2 months after they were all in with NEP. Wonder what changed their minds?

That is definitely a very good question. What in the world changed in the last 6 weeks for Scorpions to leave NEP?

Nep just added cambridge youth soccer as an associate member. The writing is on the wall

Aside from their ECNL teams, the Scorpions aren't really that relevant. This is insignificant news.

Lots of things can change in 6 weeks. Several clubs have left but probably BA and LL wanted more control as always.

Lol you can say that about any top club.

After its GA teams, NEFC and Select’s 2nd teams are very irrelevant

Exactly. That's why it really doesn't matter what league they are playing in... NEP, NECSL, CCL... all the same.

Why doesn’t it matter? 90% of the kids at these clubs don’t play in ECNL or GA. To those kids, who keep these clubs in business, the league better be delivering good competition with minimal travel to keep families happy. So the letters may not matter, but the product and convenience certainly does.

And let’s face it, NEP is going to be only Bolts & SSS soon because no one else wants to deal with them.
