    Poop 💩

    Less politics and other distractions.
    Focus on the game more.
The USWNT has lost its edge.
I’m not sure they can or will be very good next WC

The Canadians are not that much younger- 12 of them played in Rio and only two are college players. Yes many currently playing in US but have also played in other countries. You do know Sinclair is 38 and practically played the entire game. The crazy thing is that they only had two shots on goal but were relentless and broke down our midfield so well-Ertz is dangerous and it seems they figured out how to keep her contained which helped them tremendously. Well done Canada.

The PDA poster child Tobin is the perfect example of why the USWNT has been lapped by the field. All flash and no substance. Slow and selfish. It's time for some new blood from the top down.

By the USWNT bringing the old names for marketing they have damaged USW soccer. A good number of these players have played 3-4 cycles or 12-20 years. How much development and experience has been lost by doing this? How many people in the US actually cheered for them to lose this time? When the Olympics were pushed back a year they should have brought in more younger talent and tested them at the friendlies and She Believes Cup. If a younger group would have failed to medal it would have been ok as the short time would have been the biggest factor. If a new younger team fails in 4 years then it could be catastrophic for NWSL, USWNT and girl soccer in general.

I agree she performed below par the entire Olympics- perhaps she threw the chemistry off. She missed a few key opportunities.

Yes - but we did get an early glimpse there was an issue at the send off game against Portugal. That game indicated the team was not ready. They should have prepared by playing more challenging teams.

There is no lasting damage to the women’s team let’s not get dramatic. Since this group won the WC they earned a free pass to be the first team t play for an Olympic GOLD right afterwards. With the loss of year there was no time for camps, tournaments and scrimmages against formidable teams. This group was the best opportunity because of the circumstances. Let]snot get ahead of ourselves by naming linger players that should have played when they have little or no international experience. Name recognition means nothing till they prove themselves going forward. Also, reading how some uninformed people going after Tobin Heath. Anyone who questions her soccer talent after coming back from injury really has no understanding of soccer and the skill and talent she has on the pitch. She caused fits for the other teams and were very relieved when she was subbed off.

Tobin was a shell of her former self this summer. Injuries or not, she had nothing left in the tank and was subbed off for a reason in every game. Just stop with the excuses.

Considering the USWNT was extremely lucky at the WC, they should have lost against France and almost lost to Spain and UK. They showed they were no longer the dominating force they used to be which was one reason Ellis left. Instead of bringing in more youth they kept all the old pieces and it showed. They Olympics isn't the same as the WC. WC has a lot more lower end countries which allows players to ramp up into knockout rounds. The argument of little to no international experience is dumb at best. Most of the youth waiting in the wings have played on YNT and over seas. Just because they don't have it with the senior team doesn't mean they have none. Plus how to expect them to get more experience if these older players, past their prime, refuse to give up their pay checks while US Soccer squeezes every last ounce out of marketing and money from them. The women's team should have done what the men's side did and rebuilt for the future.

Like I said before...I would have rather seen them lose with fresh faces then lose with the same ones. At least then we would have started the rebuilding phase and the younger players would have more under their belts.

The USWNT were not lucky and deserved to win the past WC. Should of, could of is loser talk making excuses. They took advantage of their moments and other teams mistakes and prevailed. There was no one (other than you) who said they were lucky. They were seasoned veteran team that peaked at that tournament. That being said Covid caused a ripple effect that caused the cancellation of the U20 WC and every other event that these younger players could have participated. I am a big proponent that the Olympics should have had all these younger players but just as with these other counties they also sent veteran players. I liked on the men’s side they gambled with the younger players for Olympics qualifying even though they failed. They got the experience your talking about even though they failed. Was a great effort. The women’s side would have failed at these games if they had gone with the little experience players you are referring too. Your giving these younger players too much respect.
Like I said before this group elevated women’s soccer in his country and while they are now playing below expectations they had the right to compete for a Gold after winning the WC. The new cycle begins on Friday.

Did you watch the US v France match? Without those questionable penalties in the box the US would have lost.

Where they as questionable as the PK given to Canada yesterday? After watching the foul quite a few times I could see the foul being called on the Canadian player. That was not a clear and convincing foul. If you watch the replay the Canadian player did not protest or think much of the play. The USA won the match vs. France as they lost to Canada.

Bottom line. The rest of the world plays for joy and to be a pro.

We play for status here. MF, PDA, ECNL, College Soccer. There are the issues.

Leagues and clubs should be monitored to ensure it is a true academy. Not an old school staff with some big guy making six figures playing kickball.

Tournaments and leagues need to cost less. That way, pay to play improves while only having true professional coach. Passionate and high licensed. Not conartists that played only HS ball.
