It doesn't matter if he was a GPS coach - its that he's a predator, this could happen at any club, we all trust clubs (which aren't that well run) to do all the right checks, etc.

You’re full of ****! But your claim is noble. You do know there is a US congressman who knows a bit a sexual abuse... I’m waiting for you to exposing him next. JJ is waiting

The only immigrant coaches, that were not here on illegal visas were the ones with Green Cards, Citizenship or the directors who were on H2-Bs

Soccer coaches don’t qualify for H1-Bs
For H2-Bs GPS didn’t pay them enough wages for most to be legally here on them
P1-S were 100% illegal since they didn’t work for the NWSL teams
The J1s were also 100% illegal since they coached and were not taking classes
Not true, classes were apart of the weekly schedule and requirements for many coaches.

What is so funny is that it didn’t matter if they were in courses or not they could not coach whatsoever, they could only work in the office (answering the phones, emails and social media) legally if there were in courses.

But who is checking the clubs?

It depended, some did just office work, but some wanted to gain further experience in other skills related to their vocation, which is what the whole J1 system revolves around, i.e cultural exchange.

Don't believe everything you read in some snake oil salesmans book, the headline is designed to catch your attention, but the underlying detail is woefully inaccurate.

                    Agreed.

There are also teachers, firemen, clergy, bank managers, football coaches at PSU and wrestling coaches at Ohio State.
                    Not just coaches.

And we should expose all of them if we can and let the public know. Don’t you agree?

Not the poster and of course - if they've been charged. There have been posts on this board suggesting certain people are suspected of illicit behavior. That can wreck a person's life, career. If a hiring organization suspects something then lots of phone calls are in order. It's a pretty small soccer community and calling someone you know or someone who knows someone can get you some info on the downlow. It's very frustrating that some if these creeps can ride under the radar for awhile without getting caught but it has to be balanced with due process

In addition parents should look around at friends, family and neighbors who they think they can trust. Abuse happens far more often with someone the victim knows well. The creepy 25 year old still living with your neighbor down the street?

All clubs have to run annual background checks in order to get insurance. But if a person doesn't have a record they can fly under the radar. Employers usually will only give basic data to verify employment dates and salary. That's where phone calls can help. If you suspect something reach into the small soccer network and get some inside info.

They are not run as often as you think. This doesn’t just go for clubs either.

You need a Cori check to be allowed to coach. If that doesn't happen it's on the club as they were responsible. I dont know how that could happen but I could see certain clubs more worried about filling coaches assignments than kids safety so they fudge the needed paperwork

You don’t need a CORI if you’re just training people individually or in small groups. If you’re not associated with an organization, which many trainers aren’t, then no CORI
