When a team is performing poorly, the knives come out. Happens at most clubs. FSA no different.

They have to cater to the parents and meet their demands. Not like the have a line of people at the door waiting to coming in. If they upset the parents, who would they have left to fill those spots? FSA is a disaster of a club.

I have 2001 and a 2006 boys - with both kids visits to FSA were not especially enjoyable due to FSA parents yelling and screaming on the sidelines, this going back to when my 2001 was still playing. Seems to me this is a club-wide issue that's been going on for a long time.

How many times do I have to tell you OW people ... MLSn is not coveted .... you got relegated! MLS Academy is it, your time has ended and will dwindle to nothing within the next 2 seasons. There are MLSn teams for the short term, so MLS academies can cherry pick the rest of your remaining talent ... then they will dispatch every club.

This is true. In a competitive league though, talent and development should trump that .... this is why FSA is the way it is. Follow the $ trail.

FSA and CFC are aggregators of talent at U14 and up. There is no more development going on. They market and sell the ECNL platform...and that's about it.

With issues like this 99% of the time its the parents that ruin it and these fsa 08 parents are in a class of their own.

This is a talented team but unless the parents stfu the team will never do well regardless of who the coach is. FSA has many problems but the 08 parents are the sole root of this issue

Sounds like you are one of the quiet parents and have this all figured out. Are you blaming the parents for the team's poor performance?

If the club felt the same way, the club would expel the bad parents in order to move forward. It happens, but not very often.....good luck.

FSA looks at those parents at checkbooks. FSA does not expel checkbooks.

Honestly. Is OW the last club to realize MLSn is dead in the water? BS seems aware.

It's still a step above ECNL boys or EDP. It won't always be the best fit for every player and some shouldn't sacrifice giving up HS to play in it (because they're just not that good for college ball). But no doubt the competition is stronger even even if BS and OW aren't exactly powerhouses in it. If your kid is good enough you get them to a MLS club.

I guess that's a good question. Is it worth playing at OW or BS on a weaker MLSn club traveling to kingdom come or worth one of the ECNL teams traveling slightly less and doing slightly better in league. Hm.

Do they have to figure this out in other states? countries?

                            What's a checkbook?

Oakwood is not a step above boys FSA ECNL. no way. Ive seen both. Some age groups may have stronger teams than others but not across the board. Oakwood has been on a slow downward spiral for some time. No where near what it use to be-hence why they are trying to sell.

An inaccurate statement. Beaches like Arsenal and North develop plenty of talent; United absorbs that talent and then aggregates more from outside the club.
