Will the repercussions of this ruling result in non revenue sports like women"s soccer being charged high $$ fee to participate and travel, mirroring youth da & travel only clubs?

Wow. Talk about a reversal of fortune.

Good news for football and men’s basketball, bad news for women’s and non-revenue generating sports.

Lawsuit itself had nothing to do with Title IX.

Could see lots of subsequent lawsuits on that subject, in both directions:

        1) Women demanding that if men's football players, etc. are being paid cold hard cash (as opposed to scholarships and other non-cash compensation), then an identical payroll should be provided to women.

        2) Colleges claiming that payroll (as opposed to academic benefits) are not subject to Title IX restrictions.

        Stay tuned.

No one cares about women's sports- very little income generated. This goes for mens sports to except for football and basketball.

            Same logic.

            Next moron please, stand up.

You see how much alimony his ex got, no?

Old farts like me will remember Eddie Murphy's infamous comedy routine from 40 years ago about Johnny Carson and his numerous divorces. Highly NSFW, and highly politically incorrect, and sexist as hell... but hilarious.

              Something about sparks flying...

Well you have a point if Power 5 football & basketball players end up marrying female soccer players at their schools. That's about the only way these supreme court monies would trickle to them. Title IX may have just been knocked out with transgender demands and revenue sports getting paid. Like they say things change.

So now players get computer grad degrees and comp for internship. Big deal? Good for the kids but you all are blowing this way outta wack. Boys will still play college soccer. It’ll be ok…

Same argument can be made against college women's teams as professional ones - they don't generate nearly the same $ as men's teams.
