Attacks on Police at an All-Time High

When will we all, collectively, from top down, condemn the violence perpetuated against those who are here to protect and to serve? When will we stop enabling criminals out to cause harm, and to defend those the police instead? Enough's enough already.

A half-dozen law enforcement officers have been shot since Monday – during National Police Week – and at least 106 have been wounded so far in 2021, the National Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) said Thursday.

The number of law enforcement officers wounded in the line of duty this year is already "on pace to surpass last year's historic numbers," the FOP said, adding that of the 106 officers shot year-to-date, 23 have been killed.

all part of the right's efforts to white wash January 6th. It isn't just ousting Liz Cheney to try and shut her up, but across Congress just as members of DOJ and intel agencies have been testifying about the attack. Georgia congressional member Clyde likened the mobs overwhelming Capitol Police and vandalizing Capitol offices to a “normal tourist visit.” Others righties on Youtube claiming it was Trump supporters who lost their lives (due to heart attacks), they were "peaceful protestors", one asking "how do we know they were Trump supporters?"

It's disgusting con, so spare us your faux concerns about police officers.

      ^^^^^ 💯

Perhaps Kevin McCarthy should stop avoiding Capitol Police officer Brian Fanone, who would like to share his personal experiences about being attacked by MAGATs.

Gee, maybe all the MAGA hats, pre insurrection rally where Trump spoke and all social media posts by insurrectionists are a clue who they were? 😀

Over 50 officers injured that day, some seriously. Blue lives matter?

You suck! What the poster brought up has nothing to do with 1/6, but no matter what the topic you always seem to bring it back to that.
The fact of the matter is police officers around the country are quitting and retiring in droves.
You damn well know most cops aren't bad but you and your like will try your hardest to make them seem like they are. A few bad apples yes, but I doubt most go into the force because they hate POC.
My only wish for you my libby friend is that someday you need a cop desperately and they can't get there because of the cut backs and retirements and as you contemplate your final demize you think, "maybe I was wrong".

Really? How about 9/11 when hundreds of cops risked their lives to save innocent people.
I guess you've already forgotten about that, right?

Keep in mind this post was about "attacks on cops at an all time high" and some how you've turned it into a rant about 1/6.

Try better to follow along as this is too easy, but thanks for playing.

Sorry - not sorry - but yes it does matter. You can't claim to care about cops and accuse the left of not caring without acknowledging what happened Jan 6th. While every officer's loss of life is tragic, don't forget not every cop killer is a Democrat either.

Body-cam footage shows Capitol rioter celebrating as D.C. cop is beaten and Tasered: ‘I got one!’

You are all over the map in your attempt to rewrite what happened on 1/6/21. Cons attacked cops on 1/6/21. Nobody attacked the responders on 9/11/01.

                      Think before you post.

Not the poster the but Thread op is trying (badly) to make the deaths of police officers about politics. Yes there is a small increase but that isn't necessarily representative of anything beyond timing. Officer deaths also fluctuate some year to year. More importantly not all officer deaths are committed by persons of color or any political party or ideology. They're crimes of violence and tragedies for their loved ones and fellow officers. They also are still very rare considering how dangerous their jobs are.

And has been stated, if cons cared so much about the police they would own what happened to police officers on 1/6. Instead they keep whitewashing it. Officers were attacked, violently.

Trump seemed more worried about protecting his supporters than Congress or locals

"Trump asked for troops to do 'whatever was necessary' to protect demonstrators who went on to storm the Capitol"
