What's the point of all this negativity except you are either jealous or want SCA to go out of business? SCA is located where it is because field space is tight. Olivia Moultrie's younger sister plays for SCA. Her parent's are not stupid and wouldn't put her in just any club. Yes, a large portion of the kids are from RCF and they are very good futsal players and soccer players. While other players were figuring out what to do, RCF took an elite group of kids to compete in Las Vegas this summer. When RCF went from 3 days a week to 2 days a week for their Futsal Development Program (you know, the talented kids who to go Futsal regional championships and nationals), they were told to go out and play soccer. So kids being kids, followed each other over to SCA because they like playing with the same group of mature players. Here is a fact- every SCA player who tried out for ODP made it last year. I'm not saying ODP is the greatest training environment, but this is a testament that those SCA players stood out. You will never hear an SCA coach yell "release", "kick it out of bound", "clear", or "let's work on 1 touch passing for an hour". How do I know this? Because my kid was on SCA (and the RCF top team for his age) and now he will be in the Timbers Discovery Program and also got an invite to go to OPD Inter Regionals in Florida where he gets a chance to earn a spot on the ODP USYS National Team. Guess what? His SCA team lost plenty of games and won some along the way, but he was put in a positive environment to develop. Every player has his/her own path and bashing a club you don't even know says something about you, not SCA.
Oh, I can answer this, I want SCA to go out of business.

My kid went pro without any trips to the Disneyworld futsal jamboree. Dang.

The only thing you'll hear an SCA staffer say is make sure you club dues are current.

Once it was revealed that parents were paying for this SDA campus picnic soccer jamboree most of us didn't sit down , we were just floored .( PT Barnum)..

What type of business preys on imbecile parents and extracts monies to play in the lower tier of the Washington youth soccer association forcing families to travel thousands of miles to play nobody, that's called a con or sick joke.

S.C.A is located where it is because the leadership of the SDA school needs renters since it's a private school, without tax dollars to fund a future replacement field.

Oliva Moultrie's parents are not stupid, they are simply insane. BTW you can also see monkey's training at the mall 205 outpost to better support the standard of coaching and players at this cirucs.

Most players today that make the ODP teams in middle school & JR HS are lucky to reach the level of HS Varsity HS when their playing career is over, notably males.

1 touch passing is the penultimate skill executed at the highest levels that secures Champions League, EPL, LaLiga, Eredivise, Bundesliga and World Cup titles. So it makes sense that this skill would not be a staple of the S.C.A. soccer customer menu.

Not sure you know any better but the USYS ODP program died a quick death over a decade ago with the advent of the DA, ECNL, & now MLS Next platforms kicking the OPD it to the grave--RIP Florida.

There is nothing to 'know' about SCA that's the whole point, you fool.

Selling crazy is a special gift.

      Selling Crazy Academy.

Christ what a wally you are. Comparing 6yr olds mastering ball manipulation and dominating 1v1 scenarios to first time passes made by players in the Champions league hahahahha. You've no clue what so ever about how to develop players and the process that requires quite clearly. Leave it to the people who do. Focus on yourself either as the terrible coach that you are or the over excited parent who thinks smashing 60yrd passes into channels is the way forward for 10yr olds!

Mr. Jesus you are attempting to frame a special narrative around the brain development of a 6 to 10 year old, yes they default to dribbling and playing with the ball in isolation. Congrats on figuring out the obvious.

That isn't a taught or learned behavior it's a natural feature of where they are at in their cognitive, emotional and physical developmental as a human species, very few kids this age are ready yet to attempt 1 touch passing regularly or even know how to do it effectively with purpose you dunce.

BTW, at no point in this dialogue has it been understood or assumed that the focus of this discussion is on 6 to 10 year olds, but since you want to go there, let's refresh your club's business model that preys on this embedded aspect of human development.

When asking a parent for 60 bucks an hour to watch their 6 to 10 year old play with the ball in isolation is not only a slick con job it's a testimony to your actual ambition ($$$) and a transparent reflection of your actual soccer coaching acumen (zippo) .

Who mentioned isolated practice? Not a theme of the sessions from what I see. Conditioned games with a variety of challenges both to individuals and collective at these ages yes for sure.

If you have an issue with a person/organisation best to reach out to them and arrange a call or meeting and maybe listen (and perhaps learn something new who knows) rather than taking to an online platform to talk down of someone or something. Soccer is a world wide sport with various development/game models/methods practiced. It's not a one shoe fits all. And I say this from vast experience. What happens at Anderlecht at U8 is considerably different to what happens at Valencia FC at U8 and neither is wrong it's just their process.

Or am I being too old fashioned ? Who knows. As you were.

So much jealousy here for SCA. They must be doing something right.

Stealing is not a cause of jealousy, only envy from other like mided thieves running this same scam.

                      Grift on.

Who are you? There’s only one of you and several of us on here who don’t mind SCA. I think it’s so weird you have a beef with a soccer club. You must live in a tiny world.

How are they going to do high school age kids? Washington plays soccer in the Spring, Oregon plays in the fall. Do they expect their players to skip their high school teams?
