Now there is PSA Wildcats, CSA Monmouth, PDA Shore, FC Copa Millstone and MatchFit Shore.
Where this all shakes out in 2-3 no one knows but my head is spinning.
Still some really good town Club teams in the area (just look at Wall and Howell), but I agree they are a dying breed for sure. It’s a shame because back in the day when all this garbage with a zillion branches and fake academies did not exist, it was not a business it was just a youth sport as it should be.

The pace and technical skill of these girls will drive a better training environment than anywhere else. For all the people slamming the coach for the supposed lack of coaching skills or his inability to develop...well guess what...he actually just needs to roll the ball out. He doesn't need to develop any of these girls. They will watch and learn from their teammates. Pure osmosis. There is a good reason why this team is not liked and it stems from the talent they have amassed in incredibly short order. Typically that has been PDA's modus operandi but for now the normal order of things has been turned upside down on its head. There is a new sheriff in town....and his name is not Reggie Hammond.
This post and the post it quoted are ridiculous. Now the excuse about this coach is the girls are so good he doesn't have to coach. So from now until infinity they are coaching themselves and making themselves better? You do understand that even the highest level professional teams have coaches upon coaches to teach and make their players better? According to you, that isn't necessary here.

The truth is the guy is a great conman. He snowballed a team by piggybacking each win (which is what parents pay attention to) with another recruit. It's a very smart plan if you think about it. The kids don't actually learn anything from him, but instead have to develop outside the team to maintain their spot. It's a pure money maker for Match Fit and the currently loyal parents coming on here with their hackles up are all going to get burned eventually. Their kids work too hard and are too good though to be left behind though I'm sure. Have fun.

Technical, tactical and physical development best occur when players are surrounded by teammates of equal talent and the coach is not spending half of training trying to get the bottom of the roster to catch up to the best players.

          But keep spewing this garbage...
Do us a favor, put down the cup and step away from the Kool-AId pitcher. Your drinking it way to fast and it's giving you brain freeze. That is probably one of the stupidest posts I've ever read. If this coach is constantly replacing kids for better players, than there shouldn't be a "bottom of the roster" as you put it. By now this team has been hand picked by him. To say that he shouldn't be spending anytime getting the rest of the roster to catch up to his best players is ridiculous. If he has 15 top kids that hes hand picked, why would he keep bringing in more? Sooner or later the parents that were courted to come in will see their kids pushed behind the ever changing roster. Get your head out of your ass you stupid moron. Stay off these forums and let the adults talk. We understand that you might be one of those "special" adults, but stop posting nonsense that a coach shouldn't be developing his players.

The blue Kool Aid Jammers juice boxes are the best!

You seem to like name calling and like to jump to many conclusions based on a post which makes no mention of any coach or suggestion of further roster turnover on this team. It would seem that you are the one who should should take some medication and stay off these forums.

Welcome to the party. I'm assuming you have no clue what has been talked about on this, and several other topics on this forum about this coach. I suggest before you call out another poster, you read up on what was being said about him.

That poster is absolutely a coach from another 2009 team in the area. Just a question which one.

Not the OP, but I've seen this playbook before. Let me guess, the coach sat you guys down or sent an email that stated THIS was the roster he was going to develop and ride to victory. There might be an addition or two because of the change to Match Fit and the impending move to 11v11, but no other changes are needed. The funny part about that sit down is he's most likely said something similar after every spring/before fall to that group of parents and they all eat it up. The truth is that movement on both ends of the roster will never be done and a coach like this will never settle on a group and develop them. Kids will be recruited and the kids who've been there (regardless of skill but maybe proportional to friendliness with the coach-just guessing) will be pushed to the side. The shiny new kid is always better than the kid who has been in the roster busting their butt for a year. Go on your ride for now and enjoy the fantasy.

                          MATCH FIT ACADEMY SHORE ANNOUNCEMENT
Match Fit Academy is proud to announce the launch of our newest club location, Match Fit Academy Shore. Based out of St. John Vianney High School, Match Fit Academy Shore programming will commence fielding teams for the 2020/2021 season.

Match Fit Academy Shore will be launching in conjunction with the Match Fit Academy FC, which has a proven track record of developing players and seeing them move through the player pathway into collegiate ranks, US Youth National teams and beyond via our Elite Clubs National League platform for both boys and girls. Additionally, this venue will collaborate with our partners at NJ Surf and affiliate members of Holmdel FC NJX to further expand on overall programming. Match Fit Academy Shore will commence this fall with initial teams, with the program evolving to all age groups for both boys and girls.

"Our club originated in Jersey Shore area in our founding year of 2000. We have always felt there is a large talent pool in this area... focused on achieving true player development through high level competition. We look forward to being able to provide players in this area direct pathways to our ECNL programs and beyond." –John R. Calcaterra, Co-Owner & Director of Operations

“I am extremely excited about this location which will immediately provide a true pathway into our ECNL Programs for girls and boys in all age groups. Some of the best players we have had at Match Fit, past and present, have come from the shore area and we look forward to developing future players out of this location. I am also happy to announce Ryan Tetro will become our Technical Director for Match Fit Academy Shore. Ryan’s long history for player development in the shore area makes him a perfect fit to take the lead for us. We are excited to have him as part of the staff.” — Dominick Bucci, Girls Director of Coaching

In the coming weeks, we will share more information on our player progression model, competitive calendar, and ID clinics for interested players. In the meantime, should you have any questions or express interest in joining our club, please contact Dominick Bucci - dbucci@matchfitacademy.net
This thread goes all the way back to 2020. Even over a year ago, Tetro was getting based for all the same things the MF Shore parents are saying about PDA. These clowns can't even come up with a new angle. I'm guessing the MF Shore parents saw how well these posts hurt their club, they have to reuse them hioing it will have the same effect. Nice try.

My kid (boy) went to the original ID session for Match Fit Shore that was held at SJV during the summer of 2020. That was the plan for fall 2020 with the used car salesman pitch of new facility being build at Fort Monmouth in a year or 2 that they were the main tenants at. SJV was the plan for Match Fit Shore.

Were they serving alcohol when your kid went? They were partying in the parking lot when we went. I'll say one thing for Tetro, he sure can throw a party.
