You are just wrong. Who actually thinks Football is STILL an actual sport for middle and high school children is a fool. Nationally, childs participation in football is DOWN 68% in the past 5 years due to Concussion related issues (sorry, just a fact). Also, regarding the other so called "Mens Sports": Baseball participation? Similar to football- upwards of 65% decrease.
Basketaball- down only 10-15% Nationally, Hockey? Seriously? NOT a national sport of participatipn- good in Northeast and Midwest but that is it- non starter.
Lacrosse is the sport that has pulled most from the other sports- yet, will never garner the participation %s of Soccer.

So, your argument just doesn't hold water. Girls involvement is much more spread out in the three major sports for woman- Softball #1, Basketball #2, Tie for 3rd between Field Hockey and Soccer.. Just go look at United States High School Sports Participation Stats Nationally- the Statistics and Numbers/%'s just DON't lie- they are what they are.

The argument has never been that women’s soccer is as good as mens, it has only been that in the US Youth system girls soccer attracts and maintains our best athletes, and boys soccer simply doesn’t. Thats it.

If you would like to argue that your son isn’t 2nd tier relative to other boys in the US, let’s hear it. Otherwise stop trying to defend your mediocre boy by declaring him better than girls.

Bogus argument. The reason that US women have dominated in sports like soccer is that most of the world is decades behind in supporting women in those sports. They have had only a handful of other nations that would offer serious competition. It is only now beginning to improve.
The men play in what is undoubtedly the world’s most popular sports. Over 200 countries have had national teams for nearly a century. And in most cases their best athletes compete.

Then you will see which has the highest level of participation. Plus some kids drop out of sports in high school. However they may gave played elementary and middle school grades either in a school organization or township/rec or club team. Soccer is the #1 youth participation sport.
