So GA is now part of USYS? The clubs (CSA, STA etc) announced their top teams are playing in this USYS National league? Very confusing.

ALso no, they announced they would have teams in it, not that they would be their top teams. I'd bet its still second teams for those clubs.

This sounds right. It’s a good thing for the clubs in that their teams will always be in a top division without possibility of relegation. Same problems with other club v club models though, it reduces competition.

True but at least there is a component where a great individual team can make it to the National level. The other leagues don’t have that, so in that sense it is better.

Correct, seems like the GA has finally come to their senses. Would be great to see the best compete against the best on this new and improved platform.

Has nothing to do with the GA teams, it’s just the new NPL type division. The clubs like it b/c they can send one coach to handle all the teams on a given game day - and maximize their profits for doing less. The clubs will be scheduled at one place for back to back games, instead of the randomness of the current team based NL Premier 1 division. You’ll see a lot of lopsided scores with it across the ages b/c teams that aren’t premier 1 quality will be there since it’s club vs club, just like NPL had.....

I would say Frontier and Southwest but ECNL already took a bunch of the better clubs from them.

Correct ecnl/ECRL seems to be weaker in NJ overall in comparison to other areas. Not sure why.

This has already been discussed at length on here. It’s likely because of the number of competitive clubs in the area.
