PDA 05 ECRL had a hell of a time beating one of the FC Copa teams the other night in the US Club Soccer Cup final. Needed a BS handball call and a PK to win. I'm a pda parent and we definitely took Copa lightly. We were lucky to come out with the win.

Truth is the PDA shore 05 team lost to an 06 team. Would have been the same result if PDA picked a different season fall/winter/spring. The game just happened to be during a summer month.

Philly Copa is one of the best 05 teams in this area so not a bad result.

If you think PDA Shore ECRL means something your kid should try softball, field hockey or maybe lacrosse.

Of play for Wall as they have a much better track record of player development and college placement than PDA Shore ECRL.

FC Copa G2005 Black is the #21 team in NJ based on YouthSoccerRankings.us, with a score of 32.45. PDA Blue ENCL RL G2005 is #8 with a score of 34.52. Based on these rankings statistically, PDA Blue would be expected to beat the FC Copa team by about two goals.

The fact that PDA won 1-0 just shows that unless a team is significantly scored higher than another, (i.e. 3+ points) you should expect a very competitive games. I would say that the Copa FC team would win 4 of 10 games if they played 10 times.

FC Copa has some excellent coaches and trainers. They teach and practice a very technical game, based on possession, playing out of the back, overloading the midfield, connecting multiple passes to breakdown defenses, and then exploiting openings with long diagonal passes and looping runs by the strikers.

FC Copa is underrated because they don't get the exposure of a PDA, SJEB, or MF etc. since they are not in ENCL/ECRL.
