There are so many mixed results between the leagues I think you can say they’re virtually equal at this point. USYS=GA=ECNL. it’s not a bad thing. All good leagues.

Wall obtained a high lev 06 keeper, was able to remove the bottom portion of their team and replace those openings with girls from pda shore, too freehold & howell teams as well as some other amazing talent. I would not count tgis team out next season. You may be in for a surprise. Their 05 team is sold. Phenomenal coaching & teaining by JS. There is a reason why some people have stayed here for so long.

Their 06 and 05 teams can beat virtually any team in the state at those age groups and certainly local “competition” like PDA Shore and CSA GA. Glad to see town soccer is reclaiming it’s glory days of the past. That’s the way it should be.

Town soccer is very inexpensive and high quality so the trend is shifting as many top players are returning to play for their hometowns vs paying thousands and receiving poor training at the “academies”. The percentage to play in college is very low anyway (1-2%). So playing at Wall, Twin Co, Howell, Marlboro etc vs CSA, PDA Shore, PSA makes both developmental and economic sense. Some great volunteers coaches out there and the town clubs place pretty much same percent in colleges as the other pro places.

Originally posted by Unregistered View PostTown teams were/are great for when players are younger. At some point each player develops to a point where you take off the training wheels and take off on your own. With soccer it’s to a more competitive atmosphere depending on your level of training and athletic ability. High quality is a very subjective term that I see no need to discuss.
