    Looking for real answers....
Imagine you have a 16 year old girl. Very good player, wants to play D1 soccer. You have one, maybe 2 years to get her seen and hopefully recruited. What team do you put her on? You live in central Jersey.

The club that would actually take her. Thinking it is a given that yopu can just walk onto a top team at 16 is foolish.

Very true. It’ll be difficult cracking a starting lineup on any squad. Probably should stay at current club if starter.

Let me guess...the answer that you'll most likely write cause you're a troll will have to do with the ECNL being the top league and how the GA is awful and teams are looking to leave and all the players that didn't leave last year when the DA collapsed will leave this year and the DOC's knew about the collapse and they can't be trusted, etc. It's the same old stuff that's regurgitated over and over again. We get it, the ECNL is the top platform and if your daughter wants to play college soccer the only way for her to do that is to play for PDA or Match Fit in NJ.

I forgot to mention that CSA and STA are awful and SJEB is losing all of their players to PDA South.

You ask this a month after tryouts? You could work your way down the ladder and see what sticks. Guess it depends on how far and how much you are willing to give.

            PDA North ECNL
            PDA South ECNL
            Bucks ECNL
            WCFC ECNL
            East Meadow ECNL
            SUSA ECNL
            CSA Monmouth
            Wall

Could also just look at the ECNL clubs, GA clubs and USYS D1+D2 teams and see what is closest and within your budget.

Don’t forget about STA and the BIG lawsuits...oh and PSA has DM handing candy out to his players. I think that covers it all. Good recap.

If you honestly think the OP is actually being honest then there's no hope for you. It's the same old same old. ECNL is the best, GA is awful.....and so on. The lengths these posters go to to bash the GA. I'll def agree the ECNL is the better league, but why do you have to bring the GA down? As long as the ECNL, at least in NJ, allows MO to control who gets in then the question of what league is better can never be truthfully answered. The ECNL RUINED it's credibility by allowing PDA WHITE and PDA SOUTH in!! This isn't up for debate. If either of those teams played in the Northeast Conference of the GA they would be in the middle to the bottom of every division.

A 16 year is more likely a sophomore and not committed yet.. The better poayers will be committed to programs this summer/early fall but his kid wouldn't be in any showcases until next winter. By then there still could be some spots left at low level D1 and certainly D3.

If the op is legit Net/net it's very late in the game. Poster should send his kid to some low level D1 and D3 ID events asap (don't waste $ on higher level programs). Maybe she can get noticed that way. It also can serve as a reality check. If she's struggling it ain't happening

Some PDA Blue players are committed at U14 and U15 and probably 80% at U16. So the coming U17 player is:
                        - getting scraps
                        - not getting anywhere

And most likely the parent has no clue about college soccer, or a troll. My bet is just a stupid troll.

You can't commit that young any longer, coaches can't even talk to you directly until after you finish your sophomore year. Once coaches can talk to them yes offer fly off the shelves for top players that have already been identified. Then it slows down some and there will still be some D1 spots floating around earlier in junior year. That poster pointed out the player, however, wouldn't even be in a showcase until well into junior year, even if they could get onto a team that attends decent events. Scraps might be a good fit for the thread OP's kid (if not a troll).

                            Good Luck

16 is really late in the game. Especially to move and make a starting lineup.
JR year HS is most important for kids looking for offers.

                              Assuming this is all hypothetical...
Go where the best training is until u15, then go where the best exposure is
