We also stopped participating with our Girls team. Between the scheduling bias and the joke referreeing who wants to play in this crap tourney.

Of course you did. Give it a rest. No ref cares about in state vs out of state teams at a memorial day tournament. Get a grip.

We out as well. Too much favor local team.

There will be fewer and fewer out to state teams going to this tournament if things continue unchanged. Some home-cooking is unsurprising, but the refereeing bias here is just too great and too in-your-face.

Our team has played in many tournaments in numerous states and never seen the kind of blatant bias we experienced last weekend. Our team will definitely find a different tournament to play Memorial Day weekend next year. It was obvious that we were not welcome. (Just waiting for someone from PA to make the clever statement "don't let the door hit you on the way out" or something similarly "profound." LOL in anticipation.)
Just play at the turf farm in NJ, which is relatively close by anyhow . That's what our team started doing a few years ago. There is some bad refereeing there too, but not persistent bias.

The turf farm is great and EDP runs the best tournaments unlike FC Delco.

Unfortunately, there are too many bad refs in PA overall. The tourney and name of your out of state club has nothing to do with it.
There is a saturation of soccer teams at all ages and not enough good refs for every match. And this year was worse because the better refs were taken for all the college spring matches.

Great? Parking a mile away from the fields and then having to find your field in around 50 fields is a nightmare. It's anything but 'great' if you ask me.

Bad refs are unfortunate but tolerable in kid soccer. It is the biased refs, who make 90% of their bad calls against the out of state teams, who make Delco more infuriating than most tournaments. It has been that way for years.

You mean the 13 year old ref that does not know the difference between a town in NJ, PA or TX?? The refs don't care!

                        100% very poor experience there.

You are sadly mistaken. I've had refs tell my kids "enjoy the ride back to __" after calling a game against them. The refs most definitely know who is playing, especially in the top flights.

Nope not buying it. Go back and look at results. Plenty of out of state teams won bracket and championship. There simply is no home state bias, as the results don't support the assertion.

Thank you tournament director. We believe you. Ha, ha.

I don't think refs care one way or the other. They just want to get paid.
