Why does anyone care what this family does and where they decide to play. 2008 families you are about to find out that CFCU is not all that. If you live in southwestern CT, you don't have alot of options. CFC might have ECNL, but its a toxic enviornment, just read the 2007 thread. CFC players are talented, but not because of the coaching, its because parents spend a boatload of money and kids a ridiculous amount of time on outside trainnings. If this family wasn't happy, good on them for leaving and not feeling hostage to an ECNL badge. Good luck to her.

Going to GAL is foolish. The league might not last another year and NYSC is not good, especially for girls

1) Talented players aren’t developed by coaching at CFC.
2) Poor players are the fault of the coaching.
3) CFC only has good athletes, not good players.
4) CFC is a mediocre club in the best league.
5) CFC only care about the top few players on each team.
6) CFC is a toxic environment.
7) CFC parents are crazy.
The Answers
1 and 2 can’t both exist. Either the coaching is responsible for the good and the bad or neither.
It takes good athletes with skill to be successful. A poor athlete with all the skill in the world may win a juggling contest but can’t play at a high level. I can make 50 consecutive free throws. Don’t think the NBA will be calling soon.
CFC is traditionally anywhere from 15-40 in the top league of 120 clubs. Do the math.
The top players are easy to get recruited. No one needs to spend much time on them.
The parents on my daughters CFC team get along great. The people that moan are the ones that aren’t a part of it.
See number 6.
