What? This year's graduating class were juniors last year when Covid hit. Some were already recruited, some were not. The ones that weren't have really struggled because they couldn't get in front of coaches + schools have deferred and 5th year players taking up spots.

Even pre-rule change very few players were recruited in 8th grade, mostly NT types. More typical recruits were freshman/sophomore year. Now it's more sophomore/early junior year.
The YU player was recruited to Vandy in 8th grade, before some of the new rules went into effect. Time will tell if it works out. Vandy is struggling so who knows how much longer the coach lasts.

FSA's list is on their website but it won't exactly blow any one away. You could track OW before with the GDA site, but GAL is a joke in that regard.

You mean Villanova. But point taken - they've been bad this year. Great for the kid to have a good school to commit to her early. But what coach felt the need to commit an 8th grader even back before the changes that made it impossible.

Yankee actually has a Villanova and a Maryland recruit this year and others. But you don't see them wasting time talking smack on this website

its the spring of covid- nobody is looking at this year as much of anything
who got hit hard with the virus, who opted out, which kids just stayed home
and thats not just womens soccer- look at some high draft picks that opted out in college football

Eh, not buying it. Georgetown and Butler were the 2 best teams women's big east in 2019 and they're the 2 best teams this year. And very few kids playing good D1 soccer "stayed home" this year if they had a season. Villanova just not that good this year.

It is funny that with all the trash talk on here between oakwood and cfc and fsa that yankee has 2 higher division one recruits than any of them. And i have nothing to do with yankee.

Another point with this year is the seniors get to repeat if they are wanted. So you have a slew of kids taking grad classes and playing again next year. Less room for freshman.

not buying what? its not a secret that some schools got hit harder by the pandemic than others- some schools didnt play at all, some conferences didnt play, some kids stayed home and went virtual and some kids opted out- thats just reality
                        every school faced different challenges

Villaonova wasnt that good this year-i dont know why, maybe they just suck or maybe they got hit harder by the pandemic than others, either way they played the games and their record is what it is

they were the 2 best players in the Southern part of the state, cant speak for what kids were good up North or went private, but in the FCIAC and SWC they were the best that i saw

Those two players are exceptions for YU and the last of their good players. It's all downhill from here. Also YU doesn't have a the greatest track record with their D1 recruits. Their D3 players do well, more appropriate fit

D3 for those 2 players is an appropriate fit?

Their other players mostly go D3 where their skills are a good fit. Got it? Many of YU's D1 players (and they don't get very many) haven't all panned out.
