    College coaches in the state of NY

    Anybody know which colleges in the state of NY have strong soccer coaches and strong programs?

          Recruiting 101

          - Make a list of academic picks first - mix it up with some reaches and safeties. Make a big list. This is what matters more than anything. Spend a lot of time thinking about fit, size, location etc. Don't ever forget soccer can go away so you better love the school.

          - Examine the soccer piece and make a list based on safety/reach soccer programs. Peruse the rosters and see where players come from, who plays the most.

          - Overlay the two lists and see what has both a good academic fit AND soccer fit. There's your list. Start contacting those coaches when it's time to do so.

              Good train of thought and I agree with your analysis which is fact based. The most important aspect of that is you must do your own homework and vette these colleges to determine what’s in the best interests of your daughter. Unfortunately on TS anonymous parents will respond with their own personal biases.

                Can't make decisions on college based on Coaches. Look at the track records.

                Most don't say with a program for more than 4 years.
