If High School Soccer was as bad as everyone writes here their kid would be out scoring 9 goals a game. Pretty sure that doesn't happen.

This may be a dumb question, but don’t the best high school age (boys) soccer players skip HS soccer because they are on BDA teams?

There's a massive gap between a top Red Bulls starter and a bench warmer at many MLS Next teams. It's the latter group who should question if giving up HS is worth it. Many of them don't get recruited or end up at the same college level top EDP or boys ECNL players do.

If it was that good?... how was it a total failure?
according to the ncaa. The greater majority of soccer players played both HS and Club.

Its a very simple notion. If you love to play, you will play anywhere at any time against anybody.

Also, if college all is a goal 1) almost no coaches watch HS games (maybe if it's near by and convenient) and 2) they don't recruit at low level leagues. You'll get smoked at ID events where nearly every player plays EDP and on up the food chain
