Will select be the 1st $5000/yr soccer club?

With the spring season in full go mode it will be only weeks before clubs start offering contracts to their top girls for next year. We all know south shore select leads the state of Massachusetts as being the most expensive club in the state, but it will be very interesting to see if they become the 1st $5000 a year club. They will probably go with $4999 but for better banter lets hope its $5000+.

It would be great to see them finally reach this milestone.

Anyone looking for "banter" about club costs that you aren't associated with needs a straight jacket.

      And a muzzle.

        My bet is $4999.99

They could never be the only club over $5000

why not? just position it as a premium experience and some will flock to it.

This dude is truly obsessed! Every few weeks he refreshes the webpage. Got a hair across because of something...

It's about way more than just soccer. Well worth the money. If you can't afford it, go get a better job.

We still live in a democracy and just because someone cant afford select that doesnt mean its not worth what customers are willing to pay! Power to them if select can get that much.

So provincial. The NY clubs must have already blown through this.

Nope, not worth it at all. Plenty of ex-SSS players at other clubs once they are no longer ulittles. Good technical skill and dumb as a brick soccer IQ. Can’t stand most of the ex-SSS players as they tend to be selfish and think they are better than they really are.

Must be something in the water over there, and yeah, we could afford it, but why do that to our kids. Want them to actually learn how to play the game, not overdribble and randomly shoot from whereever they end up on the pitch.

We live in a Republic for now (fingers crossed it survives this admin.).
But you are talking about capitalism. The price is whatever the market will bear.

Sound bitter, lol. I am sure you can definitely afford it ;-)

We live in a Democratic Republic. The poster you were responding to was not incorrect in their statement and neither are you. Capitalism refers more to our economic structure within our Democratic Republic.

Either way, the previous posters point is that we can all choose how much we pay and what we pay for. That is accurate.

Soooo.... if parents have 2 kids at SSS it would cost them $10,000/year just to be part of the club. 3 kids $15,000. Holy moly! Thats alot of freakin money for your kids to play soccer.
