Gender is no guarantee of good coaching; we've had two female coaches over the years one very good, the other awful. We've had a few coaches of color with mixed results, as well some really good white dues and some not good white dudes .

Licensing is not a guarantee of good coaching either. Some A level coaches may be technically great but can't relate to kids at all. But at least there's licensing standards. Someone who puts in the effort to get higher level licensure they are committed to the sport and making themselves stronger coaches.

Gender may help teenage girls feel more comfortable but agree it doesn't guarantee the results.

Some coaches trash the license systems but like what coaches expect from players, making an effort to get into higher license shows their commitments. i hope coaches hold themselves with the same standards as they do with players.

I also find it is helpful having players getting lower level coach or ref licenses. It helps them understand the rules and the game better as well as brings awareness of concussion and other injuries.

Our daughter did not respond well to a male coach screaming at her at a young age so we moved to another team who had a female coach who delivered the same message in a more constructive and nurturing way.

Maybe your daughter just sucks at soccer. Did you ever think of that? RT can win over any kid, that's how amazing he is. Theres a reason why everyone flocks to him. Hes like the Jesus of soccer.

Was this one of the coaches at Wall? They have a couple yellers and screamers over there. Works well with some not so much with others.

there is a lot wrong with this site but I have somehow gotten some reasonably useful info from it and there are some normal people who answer questions in what seems to be an honest way.

Don’t think anyone cares about low level town soccer.

Also amazing how the FC Copa thread was taken off because someone dared to tell the truth about Richie rich Roberto's big-shot FC Copa Owner. What happened you didn't want everyone to see that you drive Ferraris and live in a mansion from the hard-earned money and ridiculous fees you charge parents. Shame on you scammer!

Really, just anonymous cowards who spew their hatred and jealousy every day. People who are just mad about life and use a soccer board as their excuse. Imagine if you had to back up your truths by posting your names. Now that would be the real truth.

Many wouldn't because their clubs would take it out on their daughters.

There would not be many coaches left at the 'academies' if the identities of posters were revealed.
