Do I see this right? Games in Florida for 06/05....etc?

also is NJ Nationals a real club? Very little info on their website and told players play for different clubs at same time???
am I missing sonething???

05G team is listed as #2 on got soccer but yes they all play for other clubs so it is a gray area....maybe thats why not much detail on their website...no coaches or who owns or runs it etc
are they really an all star team? but played in reg league last year??

Have you seen the ECNL teams in NJ play? They are hardly super stars. Except MFS09 - they have a few really talented players. The rest could play GA, top tier USYS equally. Not a huge difference at all.

Yes I have watched many games all over not just here ...MF is not the greatest quality ECNL program but 06 and older are def superior to any teams in EDP at any level....and yes I also think that overall soccer here in NJ area is going in the wrong direction at every level...too little skill and way too much physical play with no calls is making the games more of ping pong match where each team kicks up field hoping for either a mistake or for a player to physically over power another to score ...its extremely rare to see anyone play from the back...goalie all punt as far as they can creating 50/50 balls and more physical fighting pushing ....the need to win at younger ages where its easy to do using this style and scoring junk goals over smallish goalie is making all involved lazy...

Our current system is out of control and far too much $$$ and ego and crazy parents ...and mostly lousy soccer where many skilled but perhaps smaller players are leaving for other sports like lacrosse .

So this PRO league basically has teams ranked 10-20 in their state travelling to Florida (or Arizona) twice a year to play each other- u14 and up. So these teams are now travelling more than Div III college teams and probably half of Div I teams (considering their league play, tournaments, USYS regionals, etc). When is this madness going to stop?

Teams can opt out. Many have - which is why they have lots of openings.

It will only stop when parents stop paying!! But there will always be plenty of parents with the money and need to feel special that will get sucked in by an "upper div/league" and that traveling to FL or AZ makes for better soccer....

Don't understand all the negativity. The travel requirements for National League PRO were set from the beginning. If you don't like it, don't join. Let others make their own decision.

Maybe you should become a consultant so leagues/tournaments/teams can consult you on what to do, since you seem to be an authority in kids soccer.
