Florida Cup ($340 entry fee for minimum 1 game + ref fees for home team) is only one and done if you aren't good. It is also MUCH less expensive than the FYSA state cup ($925 entry fee for minimum 3 games + ref fees).

Who wants to do a one and done tournament? How many of the regular tournaments that teams enter are one and done...NONE>

You only addressed State Cup, there are 3 levels of State Competition, Commissioners, Presidents and State Cup. Gives the club the option to properly place teams based on level of competition. Price is commensurate with level of play.
FL cup had minimal participation with only one flight per age group.

Let's be honest, I was at the Presidents Cup finals at the FYSA fields and it was a great experience. Games started on time, except for a few where earlier games went to PK's but that was expected, and the award ceremony was done very well.

No actually they are creating 2 more office seats for someone qualified to be the leader of the state for competitions. This is not part of the BOD and no one has left as these are new employment positions being created, not random elected people.

You have never seen an elected BOD position require a resume to be submitted to the state director and the elected BOD position coming with a laundry list of expected requirements to be considered for the position.
