Men’s college soccer in general carries more internationals. UF’s women internationals left after Burleigh retired. The Canadian Olympian graduated and Olsson transferred to FSU.

Lol They already lost to USF 2-1 should have been 5-1.. UCF just beat Texas 4-0... not looking good for UF... maybe they can win one against UM

UCF is loaded with international players like USF.

Are you talking men or women? UCF had 2 from Europe and 1 from Canada in last night's starting line up against UF. Add a couple more coming off the bench, but wouldn't call that loaded (for the women anyway). UCF won 2-0.

Watched their last game. They seem to lack the level of intensity and focus needed to compete in the SEC. Feel bad for Amato. I get he has to work with the players he has but watching them play is rough.

It is women’s soccer not football.

I’m sure they wouldn’t be winless with Becky….

This start is not unexpected by people that have been following the program. She stayed too long and let the talent level drop too much.

Each fall season is a new team when you subtract the seniors and transfers who leave and add the freshmen and transfers in.

Amato’s style is “play it long”. You might have seen this when your kids were 9 years old. Kick the ball far down the pitch and try to beat the other team to it. It’s going to take a while to break the UF players from wanting to connect passes and use the midfield and keeper. They will have to unlearn everything they learned at top clubs under good coaches. Whatever possession soccer is, he requires the opposite.

If history repeats itself, a lot of players will really not have fun under this style of play. Parents will howl in displeasure at the seeing their daughters “boot it long”. Every year at UofA 1/2 the team transferred to better schools.

Losing 1-7 to UNC is unacceptable.

I thought you were kidding until I watched a game. I have seen better coached little kids soccer. It’s going to be a long year.

His post game interviews are like the guy at work who didn’t do his project and is trying to BS his way through a meeting. I don’t think he knows much of anything about soccer. How did we get here?? Hope the search is on for his replacement.

Is there any right style of play except the winning style?
