    UF Schedule is out !!!

LMAO Tony scheduled UNC , FSU Texas and USF to kick things off..Great idea to demoralize the girls before they get pounded in the SEC.. At least they get to play UM and UCF.. Jesus no tournament again for UF or the near future..

To be the best, you've got to beat the best. If they can't take a beating then he needs to figure that out early and get tougher players. You've got to play fearless to get anywhere and I am glad to see him scheduling aggressively. It will take a few year but this is a good start.

You obviously don't understand college scheduling. Likely all those games were scheduled by Burleigh. College schedules done 2 years in advance.

Burleigh always scheduled the hardest games out west in California or UNC. It does tend to pound the team early on and cause injuries. The losses do not help the record but prepares the team for even more physical SEC games. UF has 19 games on the schedule and has lost instrumental players through graduation and transfers.

Playing better teams does not increase injuries. That's ridiculous. If you want to say they travel too much or play too many games... sure, that might increase injury risk. But playing better quality? That is just silly really.

Interesting to research - Playing a harder team, does it lead to more injuries?

This is not University of Michigan football that sets their schedule 3 years in advance.

My D plays D1 and their schedule is still finalized and the season starts in 3-weeks.

SEC schedules are negotiated way ahead with the athletic department involved.

Oh so very sorry. Didn't know you are college. Soccer scheduling expert,. The majority of games are scheduled two years in advance. That is just a fact. Maybe a late drop or add but Amato inherited that schedule.

All the games listed above are non-conference. The SEC has nothing to do with who a SEC team plays in non-conference games.

The athletic dept confirms the whole damn schedule.

Making excuses for what he has to work with. New coaches get a longer contract to prove.

Agreed, but the coach sets the schedule. And they do not set it 2 years in advance. They set it a few months in advance. As the parent of an athlete playing D1 I am not speaking in general terms.

No a lot of moving pieces between colleges schedules and they begin planning way in advance. Confirming the final schedules and exact week of play can be tweaked.

Do college soccer teams get strength of schedule bonus points or will playing easier non conference games improve their ranking?
